Yesterday evening I went to this store to purchase some tennis shoes. There was a display of tennis shoes but I had to go find an associate to get the shoes so that I could try them on. So I walked around the shoe department as if I was working and finally found her. She was not a very pleasant lady. Now I see why she had to be found because she is RUDE!! I told her about the shoes that I was interested in on display and basically she gave me instructions to go get the shoe and bring it to her. So I did once I returned to the spot to give her the shoe I had to wait on her to come back and assist me. Once she returned I told her I wanted to try on 7.5 and 8. She went to get them and handed me one 7.5 shoe to try on. I wasn’t allowed to try on two or see the box to check the price or anything. After I tried my one shoe on, I gave it back to the lady and she then proceeded to tell me that I will have to check out in the back at customer service. She takes the box of shoes and gives it to the lady working customer service. Now the young lady that checked me out was super friendly and treated me like a real customer. But the shoe lady needs to be placed in stocking NEVER to be seen by customers. She was lazy, rude, and she makes you feel like a criminal. I don’t think that this is a place that I want to spend my money!!! Tried to call this morning to voice my concern, was put on hold. So I am voicing on here. This is for Martins...
Read moreThis is an edit of a review I formerly did singing the praises of this God forsaken department store. I bought some really awesome pants for a great price. Told my wife about it and she said, "hey, I kind of forgot about Martin's. I will go check it out." Then she came home with some clothes and she had bought a couple bathing suits to further check out. She asked the girl at the counter if she ended up not wanting one of them if she could get a cash refund with the receipt. The girl said absolutely. Couple days go by and my wife returns and tries to return one of the suits she didn't use or want with tags still on them and receipt. The girl at the counter happened to be the same girl that she asked originally said, "now you can't get money back on bathing suits." Then my wife told this girl that she told her a couple days ago that she could. The cashier was very adamant about that not being her and that she didn't say it. There was a manager standing by at that time and I'm guessing the girl didn't want to get in trouble so she lied about telling my wife something incorrect. Needless to say I will likely never go to Martin's again. Martin's in Decatur is now the devil's playground. Hillbilly heaven if you like such things. Martin's you...
Read moreDid not even want to give it one star. No line with so many items or less I had two items stood in line over 1 hour after getting to the checkout was told the card reader doesn't work I knew there was an issue ahead of me but had I realize this I would have changed lanes the lady in front of me with $250 worth of items left without her items would not open another register for her would not move her to another register told her she would have to stand at the end of another line and check out her items again also would not take a check after asking her 2 the manager to put up a very small sign on another register in front of that register you would assume it was for the register it was attached to if you noticed the little thing at all I felt for the checkout lady who was beside herself although if I were her I would have let the line know this is a cash only line so she wouldn't have other...
