At Home — Local services in Dedham

We go to this store occasionally for random items for the house, but mostly to browse. It's sort of out of the way from where we go to most of our errands, so we don't go there often, but we enjoy looking around when we do have errands in that area.

It's sort of like an upscale ocean state job lot which we go to more often at it's closer to us.

The main reason we go here is to look at the rugs as they have a decent selection and you can feel and see what they look like outside of just a photo, so it's easier to visualize it in the location you want. They have tags so you can find the rug on the shelf and when you find a rug that is not tagged with a price, you can call someone to come and scan for you with a little toner right away the rug area. I never use it cause at most stores no one ever comes, but a gentleman saw us heading to the cashier with 2 rugs because we didn't know the price and told us we could use the van button, but since we were close to the register, he went and got a scanner and then carried the rug we didn't want back.

The selection of home products is great, the service is great with ample parking.. and although they have online ordering to just pick up when you get there, for rugs I recommend going in and checking them out in person.

It's a place we like to go to when we can.. and my cat really enjoyed the rug we at...

I was dying to go to at Home until I took 2 hours break from work and I went today!!! It was a very good experience until it was the time for me to paid! Everything I picked was in clearance so every time she scanned the item it was full price and she keep saying that’s not in clearance that 75% sticker someone put it there and I said how come someone has the time to put that sticker to everything on that table that said CLEARANCE SHE keeps saying that somebody did that and I said the guy that work around that area told me everything is 75% and she was very rude and make me leave everything after I spend my whole time there looking at stuff that I couldn’t take because she keep trying to said that I put that red sticker I said look at the camera and find out who did that and stop pointing at me like I did that I was very sad I wasted all the time there for nothing is a very nice store unfortunately I would never ever go back!!!! I keep going to my home good and tjmaxx and home sense stores thank you and please try to hire more professionals people that are really trained how to treat customers and not think that...

Saw a small, approximately 5 inch glass pumpkin, for $16.99 - way overpriced! ( I recently purchased a large 14 inch glass pumpkin with a silver metal top for $12.99 elsewhere.) This was my first time “At Home” , and after noticing free membership signs, with reduced prices for members, I made sure to only purchase items with no added member discount. I purchased four items: tea candles and three plant drip pans. Prices were clearly marked on items purchased, unfortunately I was overcharged on all of the plant drip pans! -Very disappointing! The only pluses: The drip pans were made of a heavier plastic, and had a nice design overall- different than what I currently have, was given a paper bag with handles to carry out purchase, and the cashier was very polite!
