Update: I decided to give them another chance and this time it was a much better experience. They were quick to ask if I needed help with anything and once I found what I was looking for they quickly rang it up and had me on my way. If my future visits are like my visit tonight I will continue to shop here.
I want to like this place, they have a good selection of products and it's great to support a local business but if you are not a regular they will literally walk away from you while talking to you to help someone else. Tonight I went in to buy some cards and asked if they sold them, they said they did and then went back to working on a computer they were trying to repair while I just stood there. Then a regular walked in and suddenly they weren't busy and helped them and ignored me. I would advise finding a different shop if you want to be treated like a person.
Update: Dan, while I appreciate you responding you are not the person that should be apologizing as you aren't the person who mistreated me. That said no this isn't the first time I have had the same issue at this shop but I notice there is no desire to gather more information or discuss things further. The response feel like the standard "we hear you and strive to do better" instead of an actual attempt correct the issue or speak with someone who has had a...
Read moreTheir best feature is that they have a very large space for gaming and heavily support table-top wargaming of several types. They have a very good selection of paints, brushes, terrain and storage options. In particular, they often have a good selection of foam insert kits - best I've seen in any store in Michigan. Their prices are decent - about equal to any brick and mortar store. Their selection of RPG books isn't too extensive but it is worth a look as there's usually a few interesting books. They don't have a large selection of board games but it's not terrible. One nice feature is that they often have one or two games opened and set up on tables so that you can try it before you buy it. Overall, it's a good place to visit if you're looking for gaming at a store with others or if you play tabletop miniatures wargames. If your focus is more RPG and board games, they still have enough to make it worth an...
Read moreStore charged for price of card to include shipping…while I was in the store? Searched through thousands of the .25$ tokens to find the one vampire I needed. The employee then discovered that the token was worth $3.45 and charged me for the new price and included shipping (card is $3.45 on TCG + shipping is just over $5). The guy watched me search for the token with my buddies for 20 minutes just to scum me out. Not cool. Prices are decent on singles (maybe on the higher side) but very slim selection of singles and sealed product to view. Will not be returning, and long live Edgar Markov.
Update after owner response: The owner went above and beyond to make the situation right. 11/10 human who made me feel happy to spend my time and money at an LGS while I am visiting from out of state. Thank you again for ensuring that I had a positive experience. And again, long live...
