This reply is the most I've heard from anybody from this store. The general manager still has yet to call and apologize let alone offer me the refund I requested. I did ask for something to be resolved from this issue. I get it, they think because I got the food an hour after arriving and had to question where my order was because the cook walked away from the line, probably to smoke, but that's an assumption; people after us were getting their food, the place was clearing out, it went from light to pitch black outside.
The general manager and people in charge of this place believe that service is provided that meets their expectations and they shouldn't have to. That's a pretty low standard of service provided but you are correct. This would be the swindle the owners have going on to not let people have refunds unless the general manager is on duty. They believe as a customer, we are supposed to leave the store with nothing in hand but a promise that a general manager will call me next time she's at work. They know most reasonable humans won't do this or possibly can't afford to eat again until they get a refund, so they'll choose to take the food and leave. That's how they deceive you out of a refund. Beware of it. It is a take it or not decision once they have your money type of situation here. A gamble if I may call it. I will choose to stay home or go elsewhere in the future rather than bring my money here.
To add to the review below. We have also came here at night and been ignored. They should turn off the lights to the drive through or atleast let people know they're closed when the establishment looks fully open. We used to frequent this place often. I will not take my chances anymore.
I hope others do the same until you've raised your standards of service and operation. I do know I was 1 of a handful of unhappy customers just that one night.
Original review: I feel incredibly sorry for the people that work here. I know it's just like this in many fast-food places. They had 4 people, including the supervisor, running the entire business tonight. It was busy. They were understaffed yet still fully functioning and operational. Meanwhile, food quality suffers, and customer service standards lower because I wouldn't want to deal with a bunch of angry customers waiting an hour for food while continuing to work my butt off the whole time. They said it's like this every night. It's not their fault they're understaffed. It's not the customer's fault you're understaffed. Fingers point to the top. Meanwhile, after waiting 45 minutes, watching people after us receive food, I have to ask them. They were extremely busy and hardworking this whole time. After realizing the kitchen didn't make my food and the people upfront also forgot/overlooked my ticket, I requested a refund. I am told this is not possible by the supervisor on duty. To which then when I asked for the corporate number. She returned to speak with me after she called her GM. When the GM gets to work tomorrow she will call me. This is a franchise not corporate. What then? Will I have to drive back out here to receive a refund on my card or cash that ill have to put back on my card?!? Dumbest thing I've ever heard. Who doesn't allow the person they leave in charge of running their store and business the authority to return a customer's money on the spot? Or have the capacity to delete a transaction placed with a card. I do think I have assumptions as to why this is. But seems shady as a business and inconsiderate to the customers. Yesterday, a placed an order through the app and selected 4pm pickup time. 1 Fansville deal with Honey mustard dip and a diet coke. 3 Strawberry Cream Cheese Pies and 2 classic wraps. Total $29.19 and I paid through the app. I arrived early so I parked until 4pm. I proceeded to the drive thru - no line. The greeter took my name and order number and said "we need a couple more minutes, please drive around and park on the Kroger side by the SUV." Okay, no problem. After sitting for 5 min. a person came out and gave the SUV their order. I continued to wait. 4:10, 4:15 until 4:20pm. They were steadily serving drive up cars the whole time, but never had a backed up line. I went inside. There was one gentlemen waiting for an order and a few people seated. I waited at the register and no one acknowledged I was there for several minutes. Finally, a man who appeared to be a Manger by the way he was dressed said someone would be with me soon. I just said "I've been waiting for my order in the lot for 20 minutes". He then noticed a bag on the counter and looked at the receipt. "For Allen?" I said yes. Read moreHi I want to file a formal complaint with the 7060 cedar store in holt Michigan. I sat in the drive thru for 10+ minutes at 10:20pm not being serviced. I pulled to the front pick up window and 5 different employees walk past the window looked at me and laugh at different times. One male sat in the back corner and peak at me periodically and still no one came and addressed me. It wasn’t until 10:37pm after knocking on the drive thru window did I get a man walk to the window and say oh we are closed. Your sign says open until 11, your online listing says open to 11. He proceeds to say oh that’s the other Popeyes as if I don’t see the address and the listing and the posted store hours all say 11pm. I couldn’t believe the lack of customer service and the unprofessionalism I received. I don’t typically leave negative reviews I usually don’t come back. My first experience here was excellent but the last two have been poor to say the least. You should review the last hour of closing on camera July 12th to see how your business is being cared for.
