Back on August 16th my son stuck his index finger in the middle part of the merry-go-round. It got caught while it was moving and a chunk of his finger was ripped off. It was truly heartbreaking especially since he’s only 2 and never had a “real” boo-boo. The nice lady at the front desk provided me with some Band-Aids and once he settled down, I left. The owner Randy contacted me and was very apologetic and refunded me for that days session. I told him exactly what happened and I stressed for him to get it fixed ASAP, so this doesn’t happened to another little one. He agreed on fixing it ASAP and life went on…
On September 2nd (nearly 3 weeks later), I decided to take my son back because he absolutely loves it there. Sure enough, I went to take a look at the merry-go-round and I was shocked to see that nothing was done to prevent another child from sticking their finger in the middle and getting their finger ripped off. So, I reached out to Randy. He apologized, stated that he too has young children and that not fixing the ride yet was completely unacceptable. He also stated that’s he’s been (eating up time) “thinking”about different ways on fixing the issue and he was going out that night (09/02) to buy something to fix it. I’m unsure how he wasn’t able to think of using possibly a closet rod bracket or just simply duct tape it (excessively) to close up the open space around the pole. I literally thought of that in the midst of chaos seconds after my son got his finger ripped off. I chose to not leave any negative reviews because I understand that accidents do happen nor did I send him the hospital bill from my son’s finger bleeding out days after. I reminded him of this back when we spoke on the 2nd in hopes that it would get him to do the right thing (quickly) to prevent this from happening again. Unfortunately, it hasn’t. Anyway, this time he “promised” me he would get it fixed and that he would even send me a picture after it’s done and life went on…
Today, September 13th, a friend of mine took her little one to play and reached out to tell me that the merry-go-round still hasn’t been repaired nearly 30 DAYS LATER! I was more than understanding when this accident occurred as I trusted Randy’s word on getting it fixed “ASAP”. How can a business owner not put this issue to the top of their priority list?! At the end of the day, we’re talking about little children getting seriously hurt. I can’t help to think the amount of children that have went to play within the last month. The thought makes me incredibly angry because that’s 30 DAYS that the same exact thing could’ve happen to another child. This is wrong and very unsettling!
I’m sure I’ll hear back from him and get an excuse, but I’m not interested anymore. I’ve given him plenty of time to do the right thing and he hasn’t. Now it’s my turn to do the right thing. Parents, please, please watch your children closely if they ride the merry-go-round. I’ll attach a picture below so you know exactly where I’m...
Read moreI came today with my LO and her cousins (ages 2,5, & 6). All the kids had fun and stayed entertained for the whole time. I love that they do have a lot of active things for them to do and some pretend play, providing a balance of activities for kids with different interests. The place is smaller than what it seems in pictures, but the space is well distributed, so it feels fine and its nice that you can sit down and still see your child or have a clue of where they’re at. The theme is very pretty and the place was clean.
Now, some things I wasn't a fan of:
When we first arrived (11:30 a.m.), the place was packed, and it was hard to go around. There was only 1 staff member, so even though we had a reservation, it took a while to get settled and finally go in. I get that socks are mandatory, but requiring guests to purchase the "branded" socks seems like a waste of money. We had our own anti-slippery socks and still had to buy some. I'm not trying to be cheap, but the price does add up when you have to pay over $7 for socks plus your admission ticket. Total expense came to $30 + for me and my one child. Other playgrounds of this kind in the area are cheaper so I'm not convinced that this one is worth the price. The whole timeslot thing was confusing. We got our reservation for 11:30-1:30, but we were not told if we had to leave, and it seemed like some people were there earlier than us and still stayed past their time slot. Another mom we talked to didn't know what the timeslot meant. So I think they need to be more clear about their reservations process. Do we book a time slot to come in during that time and stay as long as we want? Or does that mean we can only stay for 2h? That changes the game. +30$ for 2h is not really worth it.
The bottom line for us is: this is a cute place, but they still need to organize themselves a little better for it to...
Read moreWent to the soft opening today, it is a great concept unfortunately it is not yet organized we had our reservation. The toddler area had so much fun activities my son enjoyed the supermarket and the little ball pit . Unfortunately big kids older then 5 probably 8 were just diving into the ball pit and almost dove on top of my son twice parents no where near by. I’ll go again probably in the early hours to avoid big kids. Also it would be good if big kids were redirected to big kid areas or the parents watched them instead of being on their phones.

Today after work I went to Candy Wonderland for the second time. It hasn’t even been a month and the owner took everyone’s feedback under consideration. They lowered the limit of the people allowed to reserve and it made all the difference. It was really enjoyable. My baby had so much fun. He explored the Candy wonderland village. The legos and the smaller ball pit were his favorite. He also became a doctor and a chef all in the same day. I highly recommend checking them out. I also have to say that the staff is very friendly. They were friendly the first time we came in as well. So I appreciate the excellent customer service. They were also tidying up after they noticed the kids left the area. The floor was clear, lots of space for the kids to explore. The owner did reach out as well and checked to see if there was anything else that could have been done better and I feel that he heard made and change and he was able to completely give me a 180 on the feedback I...
