Update since I cant respond to the lie the company replied with. My phone was not functioning when I left and I asked Lamar why. He wouldnt answer only to say it was my carrier. If the store has tapes you can see me begging him to fix my phone and him saying No he is too busy- I showed him the roaming It clearly was NOT working when I left- how would I know he stole the SIM card? I ran to Xfinity and they opened the phone and boom - no card inside. I have all the receipts and time stamps. I hope the police request security tapes. I am now at the Apple store and they confirmed that Lamar broke my phone - I have an ESim failure so no Sim card can now work in my phone- no wonder he stole it. It would cost 549 to fix - I would like Techy to reimburse me. I will be blasting this information far and wide and also writing to corporate.

I went in to Techy this afternoon as the back of my iphone was cracked due to an old and bad battery. I went in to Lamar who told me he could fix it no problem as well as replace the battery. While he was taking down my information, I received a phone call and Lamar heard the entire conversation and knew my phone was working just fine - there were no problems with the phone itself, just the cracked back. When I went to pick it up three hours later, it was NOT WORKING AT ALL. I asked Lamar for help several times and he told me he was too busy. I left the store and then went back in and demanded he look at it. He told me it was my carrier, I knew it was NOT the carrier as it was working just fine as I said. I ran quickly to Xfinity in the same plaza and at first they said it was not working because I had no Sim card, (Lamar removed the SIM card and did not put it back) so I ran back over and Lamar swore he did not touch the Sim card. I went back to xfinity and they were kind enough to give me a new SIM card but the phone would not work at all. They said they had never seen all the error messages, they called their top guy in to help me and he could not fix anything, he called HQ and said that TECHY definitely broke my phone and the only hope I have is the apple store. I went back to TECHY and again LAMAR would NOT look at my phone and told me I was crazy and he did not touch the card or do anything to my phone. Um, why is it now broken? I am now home at 8pm with no phone, no back up phone and will go to apple first thing in the morning. I am so upset, I should have gone to APPLE in the first place. Not only am I disputing the charges, but I plan on calling my attorney and suing TECHY because I now have to miss a second day of work and they COMPLETELY broke my phone, I pray Apple can fix it and it doesnt cost me a fortunre. DrPhoneFix in Hollywood was my first experience in dealing with a third party vendor who fixes damaged iPhones. I had a cracked and spidered glass screen on my white iPhone 6. Of course as a young adult, I was freaking out, but let me tell you – this store absolutely made my day (multiple times). Instantly to walking in, I was taken care of and assisted. The technician immediately seemed to know that it was only the glass screen, NOT the LCD, and worked on the phone. Luckily, it would took only about 45mins for them to fix the phone and repair the screen. Once the phone’s screen was repaired they tested the functionality and showed me that all the functions worked. However, once I got back home I realized the front camera was not displaying properly so I brought it back to the store within the hour of leaving the first time. They waited on me and took care of the phone’s camera issue immediately. Before leaving for the second time, the technician showed me that all the functions were working as they should. I even stayed a little bit to make sure all of the main functions of the phone I normally use worked as they did before. So everything was going smoothly, until later on that night at home, I noticed the screen’s image looked smeared across the screen. It was almost as if I was looking at a 3D screen without 3D glasses. The following day I returned to DrPhoneFix showing them the screen, and immediately the technician recognized that something was obviously wrong with the screen and took it the back to determine what had occurred. It turns out that screen was defective and would need to be replaced. The technician, who I assume was also the manager of the location, apologized for the error and told me that this was “absolutely not acceptable from their vendor.” They told me another batch of screens would arrive at the store the next day and offered me a temporary screen plate in black (free of charge) while waiting for the white screen plate. Once the new batch of plates arrived in store, I was notified I could stop by the store to switch out the black screen for a white one. As soon as I walked in the store, they remembered me and immediately took care of the screen and even gave me a tempered glass screen protector for the hassle of me having to come back to the store multiple times.

The customer service provided in the store was beyond superb! The attention given to the details in making sure everything regarding my device was running smoothly was much more than I had expected, even though I have a 90-day warranty on the screen. I had heard the horror stories about third party vendors fixing phones and then issues occurring hours, days or weeks later and unwilling to work with you to resolve the issue. “They buy anything with a button” is hilariously untrue. I had the worst experience today at this store. I brought in a 2022 Lenovo laptop and 2 iPhones. Lamar without even looking at the Lenovo said they only buy Mac Book Pros. Mind you I had asked a few questions and Lamar was very short with every answer like I had interrupted his day. When I asked “ You guys sell electronics? Lamar said “yes, can’t you see!” I did see an Apple Watch I’m not going buy now. Lamar then became even more hostile with the iPhones when he said “ you want to sell these and they aren’t even charged and you don’t have them ready” I then said I could go to the car and get a charger.
