After weeks of researching projectors, we felt the AWOL 3500 Pro was best for our use case. But with such an expensive product, we weren't comfortable ordering it without seeing it firsthand. So, we traveled from more than two hours away to visit the retail store in Delray Beach to see it firsthand. I called the store a few times and spoke to Dave to confirm the location and hours. He was always responsive and helpful.
After seeing the projector firsthand, we were sold. (In fact, I had to talk my wife down from the 150" to 132" screen.) We ordered the protector and screen the following day, with a "hard deadline" for the projector and screen to arrive before an event we were holding in our home the following week. The projector arrived on time, but UPS lost the screen in transit. I contacted Dave and AWOL customer service one day before my event and conveyed my frustration over the issue, and asked them to overnight the screen for it to arrive on time. I DID NOT expect them to honor my request - especially since the package was 50 lbs and oddly shaped and incredibly expensive - but to my surprise, they DID send via OVERNIGHT shipping from California to Florida. I cannot imagine how incredibly expensive that must've been, but Dave and customer care went out of their way to make the situation right. Dave called a few times afterwards to make sure everything arrived in time and was set up and working properly for our event. AWOL customer service has been top-notch throughout the process, and we are loving our projector and 132" screen.

The screen, which is massive, was mailed to the wrong home address which was over an hour away and I had to drive out there with my wife, buy straps from Home Depot so I could put it on my roof (it wouldnāt fit in my car). I emailed them multiple times before this order was shipped out to make sure that they had the correct address and clearly they didnāt. They ended up crediting me $300 for it which was great. The projector/screen ended up not working in my final theater build out so I reached out to their store to let them know Iād like to return it. The sales person was rude and said that no one returns it and clearly itās a user issue. He then told me to reach out to customer service because he canāt help me. When I reached out to customer service (the same guy that had the address wrong) through email, he said I had to find my own freight service. I called everywhere around me and the prices were outrageous. I emailed them about it and then they told me they could send a carrier to pick it up (I donāt get why they didnāt mention that initially). I had to pay for the freight cost (which is fine) but when I got the refund, they took back the full $300 credited money so I ended up loosing 2.5 hours of driving time, the costs of the straps to put the screen on my car, and time going back and fourth emailing with them and finding a freight service. My 4K movies are alive now and the 3D experience is breath taking. The customer support is also very good. The product is so silent you will never hear it when watching a tv show or movie.
