ABC Liquor — Local services in Delta Charter Township

Started out very positive about the store. Found them to be very helpful and thought the store itself was wonderful. Bought several bottles of wine and a couple other specialty drinks. Needed a keg for a family gathering and everything went smooth until time to pick up the keg. Sent two young men to pick it up for me and they said they got treated poorly right out gate. They took my deposit for the tap, however, didn't have a working one there. Sent them, with the keg in the back of my van, to the other store across town. Telling them it's only 5 minute away, which is not true, plus much further from my home. Got the keg back to our house later than expected (no longer as cold as it should have been) only to find out that that tap didn't work either. Got mostly foam out of it and lost a lot of beer because it continued to leak out of the top. Yes, it was tapped right if you are wondering. Returned everything the next day with most of the beer still in keg. Had to return several times to talk to the right person and once I did all I got was how I could have gotten a new tap from anywhere (leaving my family and quest to fend for themselves I guess) and how people tend to not drink as much as they think (??? Felt like he was accusing me of lying). Never check the tap himself and took absolute no ownership of the problem. Said the keg had most of the beer gone, which was also not true, and that was confirmed when I originally returned it from one of the other workers. Bottom line for me is that I will not be going back. You should treat customers better than this. Very disappointed. I wasn't looking for a full refund - not sure what I was expecting. My name is Caleb Wilson. Most anyone that has went to ABC party store knows me and has seen me working at the store usually with my black hat and taste in close. It breaks my heart to have to rite this post however I have to make this known. I've never but 2 times in working there received my check on time ,been denied my check stubs and told that money I've worked hard for in that party store he doesn't owe me. I have been promised that when pay roll got fixed I would be payed in full for the 900 something dollars that was shorted from my checks. This is the liquor store for grownups in Lansing. I don't know much about the beer and wine, but the spirits selection is awesome, stacked in those huge shelves they need a cartoon ladder to climb, and—this is key—state minimum prices. In a state where I can justify a trip to Toledo for the sole purpose of buying my whiskey, I simply cannot afford to pay the upwards of 10% markup they apply at my former liquor store on the other side of town. I'll miss my old liquor store (I spent a lot of time in there over the years), but I'm very excited for this new beginning. Real friendly people, sunny shop.
