I want to say good things about this place because they tried to be nice but Iâm having a hard time. I came to get an iPad screen replaced and at first, the tech tried to claim that my display was also broken and it would be an extra $100 on top of what I was told and I asked for the iPad back. I tapped the lock button and Iâm like âhow?â. He could only apologize, that he thought it wasnât working. I get a phone call a couple hours after agreeing it was just the screen to be replaced and they told me they accidentally severed the line for my home button when removing my screen so now they would have to replace my home button for me which they wouldnât charge me for but it would be an extra few days to get the part and they would give me $50 off. They call me around the estimated time originally it would be ready and told me they had a button to replace it after all, great. The issue is now that I will never be able to use Touch ID on this iPad ever again unless I have Apple repair it at this point. When I go to pick it up, the button was wobbly and they said they would have to open it back up and it would be 20 minutes. No problem. I waited 45 minutes to be told to come back the next day or before close because they got the button to stay in place but the screen needed to be replaced again because it was lagging and they wouldnât charge me at this point. Iâm glad I was able to get my iPad fixed without paying but a week after, Iâm still upset because the button has to be pressed a certain way for it to work, you can tell itâs not a standard Apple button and the Touch ID alone... I actually had another repair for a lcd screen for my laptop and Iâm having a hard time even reaching out because I feel like I should have been reimbursed for the entire iPad at that point for messing it up more than how it was brought in. The techs were really nice, they were probably just scared to be working at this time with the pandemic going on. The only reason I kept my composure, they had enough going on.
EDIT:
The screen started having issues within a couple months after being replaced and after I used the 90 day warranty for another replacement, now the battery is dying at 30% after I got it back. I canât even be covered under Apple now.
UPDATE: I got a refurbished iPad of the same model a couple months after the incident when the owner reached out so they tried to make...
Read moreWent in the store right at 10am for a screen repair to my Samsung S8. They do not have anyone at the desk to greet people and you wait for someone to appear, wondering if they are open. Finally after getting someone to come out front they processed my rapair. I was told on my receipt said to come back at 12:38pm. When I came back the phone was not ready and waited in the lobby until after 2:30pm. No discount or recognition of being way off the promised time. After getting home I noticed that the screen had to deep scratches on the top of the screen that did not occur by me. Called and they said they closed at 5pm (Sunday) and would not be able to get it done today and bring it in the following day. While trying to take a picture our Christmas Tree before it was taken down, I could not get a good/clear picture. In the light I noticed a fingerprint on the inside of the lens of the camera, apparently not cleaned from the repair. I went back the next morning and the gentleman (not sure who since they do not wear name tags) knew nothing about the issues and wanted to know what I wanted done. I explained that I was told to bring it back and that it would be made right. He went to that back room and then came back out and said that it would be repaired free of charge, by him personally and he apologized for the issue. I was told to come back in 2 hours and it would be ready and he would treat the screen with Liquid Glass. When I came back, the screen was scratch-free and the camera lens glass had been cleaned.
It was emphasized that they would replace this for "FREE", shouldn't that be the case if you have sent out a faulty and botched repair??? You are fixing what you did not do properly. This 2 hour repair ending up costing me FULL PRICE and 7 hours of lost time for me!
I appreciate the professionalism of the gentleman that repaired the botched repair on day two.
UPDATE: The owner contacted me an apologized for the issues that occurred and refunded half of the bill. He was sincere and appreciated my feedback so that it could...
Read moreEdit 10/9/24: I did not get a notification from Google that the owner had replied which was really awesome to see. Thank you for that owner it is greatly appreciated, and your reply was a thoughtful and considerate one at that. Thank you again. I had an issue with my repaired battery where the glue started to become unglued and had to take it back in for a re-repair. That is what led me to the review and that I had saw that it was un-automated into a real live human. My re-repair was great and it was handled in one day, today.
Original: Service was OK, but etiquette needs work. Overall positive, but I was quoted $95 over the phone and was upsold to $105 upon arrival. I talked them down to $100, but still. The part ordered was wrong, so I had to wait another two days plus travel to Lansing to get this addressed. Huge hassle. You would think I would be offered a discount or anything really for the inconvenience but this...
