FitStop24-Lansing — Local services in Delta Charter Township

I have been a member for about 6 months and come about 3-5 times per week.

Staff and most of the gym members are extremely friendly, but maintenance is pretty lacking at this location. Some machines don't have weights marked on plates (some others do with marker), filters in the water dispenser expire and don't get replaced for weeks (currently been about 3 weeks expired as of writing), and a lot of misc things are broken/damaged/missing.

The area for classes that I was shown with free weights and benches when I signed up (that they said is free to use when not in session) is always locked after work, making the weight area extremely crowded when it gets even slightly busy. The AC also tends to be set about 10 degrees too high, so it gets really stuffy when there are more than a few people working out. The AC wasn't an issue in the winter, but now that it's warming up, it's becoming a problem.

I think this is a great spot for anyone looking to get into the gym or who focuses more on cardio and maybe a bit of free-weight training, but most experienced lifters will probably outgrow it quite fast. I don't currently plan to renew my membership again next year, but I don't feel ripped off either. I'm giving this location 3 stars because a lot of its issues are things that can be fixed and would also be clear to anyone checking the gym...

This is the best gym in all of Lansing!! I’ve been with the owners now for almost 3 years, before they owned FitStop-24, and I will not go to another gym! What I love most about this gym is that it’s clean, has a variety of classes, trainers, and equipment, and best of all it’s SAFE! I never feel unsafe here because there are always trainers available when I am at the gym and they have become like family. I love my FitStop24 family! The owners have showed me that they are more concerned about the personal health of their customers and members then trying to fill their gym with people looking doe a quick fix.

Every trainer cares about the health and safety of their members. For my health issues they have always given modifications or alternatives that would meet my personal fitness needs.
