I absolutely HATE this Kroger (and frankly all Krogers) with every fiber of my being. I do not come here unless I absolutely have to. Where to start? It's an absolute scam. It's rare the sale items actually ring up on sale, they always ring up full price and Kroger hopes you don't notice so they make the extra money. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS/BE CAREFUL DURING CHECKOUT. I highly suggest taking photos of the sale items for proof. Happened to me AGAIN this morning with the olive oil. Glad I caught it! Never believe the sale signs it's a lie What in the health codes is with this store and mold/expired food?! SO. MANY. TIMES. We got molded or already expired food in pickup, so we stopped doing pickup completely. Or packaging with holes that was very clearly bad. I worry immensely about the vision of the personal shoppers here. The fresh juices, always have a bad couple out on the shelf. CHECK DATES! The produce dept is a cesspool of mold and health violations. I mean like visibly moldy fuzzy GREEN stuff, and workers are staring straight at it, stacking fresh stuff on top. It's wild. The app is the worst app for any grocery store I've ever seen. WHY in the WORLD are not ALL items in the store available for pickup?!?! It's in the store! WHY would I not be able to add it to a pickup order?? Defeats the purpose of pickup if I have to buy half of it in store, I'll never understand this. The prices are not accurate between store/app/checkout either. The bathroom is horrid...absolutely disgusting, always.
This is why we drive out of Denton for groceries now, or go to Sprouts. This store gets worse not better, we've given up unless it's emergency. Absolutely...
Read moreWhat is happening to this store? In the last few months, several things I've always bought have been discontinued or are never stocked.(just empty place on shelf for weeks!)You've stopped carrying several things we use all the time & are now buying elsewhere.I've talked to CustomerService, written letters(& have heard nothing in response),asked the folks stocking the shelves...& no one seems to care or want to help. Are you unable to keep up with stock demands? Are you unaware some items are"sold-out"for weeks on end? Where are the Kroger-brand NO HEAT sliced jalapenos?Nature's Own Large-slice bread is baked in Denton.Suddenly, you're carrying very little of it,yet Pepperidge Farm has taken over the bread aisle.WTH?There's no other bread w/no High Fructose/preservatives!Diet Rite Cherry Cola - you said it's not available anymore,so I'll keep buying it at Target. Along with Philadelphia Cream Cheese SALMON spread & PopChips salt & vinegar chips.(more things you tell me aren't available - except to Target, apparently) This week when I shopped, still no frozen shelled Edamame. Have you just stopped carrying that, too? I've been a faithful Kroger shopper for years. If you could park at the Kroger store on University, I'd switch stores, but I guess I need to find a new grocery store because everytime I deal with the empty spaces on the shelves, or inability to buy everything I need in one stop, I get upset. Especially as the list of things I USED to be able to buy at this store grows. But mostly the non-response from my various efforts to talk to someone about this is what will drive me away...
Read moreI usually go to this store because it's closest to my house. Today was the worst shopping experience I've ever had at Kroger. All the Kroger's I've visited recently have some version of the central issues: self-checkout being almost the only option for customers and chronic understaffing.
I had a pretty full basket of groceries today. There was only one full-service checkout open at this location, and the line for it was extremely long. Due to the fact that it was a Friday and the first of the month, the store was rather busy.
Due to the busy full-service line, I chose a self-checkout machine near the customer service desk. There were about a dozen machines, and they were all in use. For some reason, the 6-8 machines on the other end of the store weren't open.
I scanned all my groceries and scanned some Kroger coupons. I needed some help from the sole attendant available because one of the coupons didn't work. I noticed that she was also taking care of customers at the customer service desk since when I asked her for help, she told me to wait a minute while she walked over to the desk to help someone standing there. There were maybe half a dozen or more people in line for assistance there too.
Sadly, this was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. Having a store like Kroger expect one employee to handle so many customer needs - a dozen or so self-checkout machines AND the customer service desk - is unacceptable. Kroger is no longer on my...
