I come to this establishment almost on a weekly basis. Currently their holiday specials should be explored by the general public. As of 12/05/18, I have had only one of their winter specials but it was well worth it.
I was promptly greeted at the door, which for this place, I have often seen a little difficult to perform by their staff because of their huge weekend popularity. It was nice to come in on a weekday and see how the staff acts while not under extreme duress. The environment was warm with faint holiday music playing throughout.
After being seated, I saw their special menu, and immediately decided I was going to order from it. What I was going to order was a decision that could not be made with equivalent haste. There were three specials for meals: I believe a waffle special, a hash special, and the third currently slips my mind. Out of all three the Winter Hash stood out the most, so i proceeded to order the platter along with coffee.
The wait was short to get food, as the morning Thursday crowd look to be more of regulars. I can hear the staff having chuckles with the regulars which brought a slight happiness to my heart. An establishment to take the time to know its consumer is admirable. But I digress. The winter has arrived. This plate of winter delight looked like a plate that could warm me through a harsh winter in a log cabin; greens poked out from underneath two over-easy eggs, completing the festivities. Two halves of an English muffin lay to the side completing the meal. I cut into the over easy egg letting the yolk smother the hash. I scoop up and take one bite and instantly I feel warm all over. The hollaindaise sauce was wonderful and the greens poking out created such a spectrum of flavoring combined with everything.
The waitress was very attentive and made sure that I was always well stocked and satisfied.
An inexpensive meal at a fine...

Read moreWe've always enjoyed the egg and I as my wife loves the lighter fare served and kale coolers. I enjoyed it because she did and I have been able to savor the biscuits with sausage gravy and eggs. Previously, I had the establishment at four stars but have removed one for lack of communication with management, ( customer service), and one for misrepresented food item on the menu.
Well, it seems they've been serving a premade gravy lately bereft of sausage and with the consistency of a sauce more than that of gravy while not changing description on menu. I asked to speak to the manager so that I could tell her it's definitely a noticed thing detrimental to reputation of their quality and it would cause us to reconsider eating there. She decided not to entertain my thoughts. We ate, tipped wait staff well, notified cashier of our experience and won't be returning. I did a Google search and decided we'll be going Cartwright's Ranch house due to mentions of their fantastic biscuits and gravy. Wife says she'll gladly adapt after seeing that egg and I management is unconcerned with customer...
