Beauty Bee Salon — Local services in Denver

I have mixed feelings about my experience with Beauty Bee Salon/ Kylie (owner). Contacting the salon (Kylie or Caelen) to coordinate the different trials and actual wedding day was tricky. They wouldn’t call back or respond to e-mails so I would have to be very persistent. They kept claiming the lack of punctual response was due to being a new salon working through the kinks but nevertheless it was frustrating. During both hair trials, Kylie was extremely warm and welcoming. I felt very comfortable with her and loved my hair! However, on my actual wedding day was a completely different story. Kylie and the two other stylist sped through all our hair and make up. I actually asked to them several times to please slow down and not rush us but they refused listen. They were very impatient and just wouldn’t stop rushing! They finished all 10 of us, hair and make up by 11:30am we started 9 (we weren’t meant to be done until 1-1:30pm). I started panicking that my hair/ make up wouldn’t last until the actual ceremony, which it didn’t. I had a bridesmaid re-curl my hair at the venue right before ceremony because it had gone flat and I had to add blush and lip stain since it had faded. It honestly felt like they had somewhere else to be after us (maybe another wedding?) that’s why they were trying to get us done and over with as quickly as possible. I felt like they totally ignored my wishes and added to my stress that morning. Several of my bridesmaids had hairs falling out of the updos by the time the ceremony was getting started (pre-sweating and dancing) and we had to ask the event coordinator at venue for more bobby pins to fix updos. It just over all seemed sloppy, which had not been my experience during the two trials.

RESPONSE TO HER COMMENT: Kylie, I thought my above review was being generous. Instead of learning from this mistake you bash the bride? VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I was not highly impaired. Yes the room was mess, there were 10 people getting ready in one room. I also have text messages, SEVEN bridesmaids, mother of bride plus the wedding photographer that can confirm you ended at 11:30m, TWO HOURS early. I did not need touch up services at 12:30 I NEEDED to be finished by 1-1:30. Yes, I requested my tip back from you because I wasn't aware that 20% tip was included in the price and I had tipped on top of that. You were still tipped 20%. Communication was an issue that is why I asked for your cell phone number facilitate the process. On our contract, the completed time states 1-1:30PM so I did have a clear understanding that time it should have ended! I found Kylie early in 2019 when I was getting ready for my wedding. I emailed many hair stylists to get quotes and discuss what I was wanting for the trial and day of the wedding. Out of dozens of hair stylists and companies, Kylie was the only company that returned my emails. She was very professional setting up the appointments for not only myself, but also my mother, husband, and sister-in-law. Kylie never failed to send reminders and be as accommodating as possible. We all received work that we were beyond happy with and were not disappointed. Despite living over an hour away, my husband and I still prefer to go to Kylie to get our regular haircuts because of the quality work and professionalism Kylie and her staff show us. Kylie was AMAZING!! She went above and beyond for my wedding day and I couldn’t be more thankful!! She was punctual and everyone loved their hair and makeup!! She was very attentive and was sure to make sure every detail was correct and on my wedding day was very adamant about adding more pins and spray to be sure everything lasted and I danced the night away not once worried about my hair!! She colored my extensions and actually had 2 sessions with me because I was changing my mind on why I wanted and wanted more trials!!
