There's two Esters and this is their second one. My first thought when I walked in was wow! This thing is huge!
But first Esters is not anybody's name. It refers to the Esterification Process in making beers. It is the fruity flavor during fermentation than can vary in taste and aroma between pears, rises, bananas or other light fruits. When it's very high it can produce a solvent like flavor. It's formed in beer by the "esterification" of ethanol which is the primary alcohol in beer,
I have no doubt size won't matter here. Esters crew will fill this place up! Like I said before I like nooks. Especially a nook that's not too obvious. Where the place is subtly divided by chairs or an obvious one a bar. Yet it still feels like you're not lost all alone in the back.
My favorite spot was the communal table in the middle of the room right behind the hostess. It offers great view of everybody. Lots of natural light all around. A heated patio as well that can be opened during sunny days.
What I'm happy to share is that they have really yummy food. Like their pizza paired with their Kale Salad for $7+ was amazing. Or their Hot Italian Sandwich paired with their Winter Kale Salad was soo good!
Imbibe? Their Potenza and Oneida cocktails are ones that you must try. Particularly the former. It's got Tanteo Jalapeño, tequila, fresh lime , cucumber and agave! Oh my!
But you know how there's always one dish that gets you? For me it's their Brussels and Cauliflower. $11. It's so worth it. It's a very reasonable amount and is shareable. It's roasted Brussel Sprouts. Roasted Cauliflower, Phatty Bacon Nugs, Parmesan, bread crumbs and yum yum sauce. The secret? Those Phatty Bacon Nugs from Tender Belly! A tad crunchy and perfectly seasoned to blend in with the double trouble Brussels and Cauliflower. Brussels Sprouts alone gets boring after a while but mix that with the Cauliflower and bam! Those two earthy combo tasted like meat if I close my eyes! For this alone I will come back!
The amazing staff who felt like they really like where they're working and to the amazing invisible person with the new ride:) and manning the kitchen and the menu and many more prob. Thank you and I'll...
Read moreEsters is officially one of our favorite restaurants in Denver.
We were super excited to find out that Esters opened their new location at Oneida Park, which is much closer to us than their original location.
My husband orders their gluten-free pizza, which he ranks as one of the best. I had a couple of slices of his Fee pizza, which comes with bbq sauce, jalapenos, bacon, cilantro, and onions. Normally it comes with their pork, but we substituted it with their chicken because the pork is actually marinated in beer. The crust is definitely delicious, with just the perfect amount of chewiness, it's honestly one of the closer crusts to non-gluten crust. Although my husband enjoyed his pizza, he had the pepperoni at his first visit to Esters Neighborhood Pub and still ranks that as his top.
I have had their fat tire nachos and breakfast burrito. The fat tire nachos are definitely a must try! We ordered the fat tire nachos with chicken instead of the pork (since the pork is marinated in beer). Very enjoyable. It's totally worth it to just order the nachos for your meal itself!
Overall, Esters is solid. Great food, great gluten-free pizza crust, and great new location. I love how Oneida has more natural light as well, whereas their original location is so dark even during the day. Friendly service. Five...
Read moreThis place advertises on multiple websites pet friendly, but is far from it. I just now went to this restaurant and even went inside and asked if they allowed pets before bringing my dog in. The bartender greeted me ask her manger and said yes outside with the window open. So they set up a table and walked us back. We sat there for 5 minutes looking at the menu when a different staff member comes up to us and asks us to put our dog outside of there fence. Which is all rocks and gravel. Then he said it's the owners rule, but he isn't sure if we're really allowed to leave him tied up outside of there fence because that's not there property. So if we want to wait outside of the fence with him and order food Togo that's fine.
This was so embarrassing especially considering I made sure to ask before ever bringing my dog in the restaurant. And to sit at a table with water menus and cutlery all set up. Then to be asked to wait on the other side of the fence for food is disgusting. I never bring my pet anywhere, that isn't advertised as pet friendly. Shame on...
