Fred Thomas Park — Attraction in Denver

A nice park surrounded by just thoroughfares you would not think it has so much space, a very fetching double softball field, stands, a large dugout area, umpire central office and score tower of sorts, restrooms and an even an area well suited for concessions. There is also a nice kids playground, a large separate open space(adjacent to field), two mod sized covered areas for picnicing and a paved pathway that circles the entire or half the park. I guess its a little over a mile to go round. The park also comes with two parking areas one main and one south by the picnic aeea. Ahh and last but not least, this park has a good, healthy variety of assorted, well kept, large to larger well matured trees. The bathrooms are often locked or nasty, so prepare to go to the bathroom before or hold it. The grass isn't ideal for sports. There are a lot of deep holes. Except the baseball fields which are nice. Parking isn't too bad, but it would be better if there weren't two giant dumpsters in the...

It is really nice here! I roller skate here every day! I also hammock all the time here because there is so many trees here. They have a basketball field, playground, soccer field, baseball feild and a lot of parking here!! You can aslo sit anywhere you like. Great place to hang out...
