There is absolutely nothing about this store which redeems their too-numerous-to-list shortcomings. Today was merely another day where I made a begrudged visit only to walk out empty handed. This store is walking distance from my home, but I very rarely actually purchase anything when I do stop in to find something. The reason I don't purchase anything here is not due to price-- Best Buy does price matching, but there are many times I don't even mind if they are higher than online shops because I NEED THAT THING NOW. No, the reason is not even the ill-informed kids working the floors -- they serve their purpose: guiding me to the box which I will then read or thing I want to experience before I buy. Despite the fact there are virtually zero employees at any location who are true experts in their field, I can give Best Buy a pass for their hiring and training issues. I don't even mind that this store looks terrible inside, it is an aging big box with very few aspirations, but I can be in and out faster than an 18-year old virgin in BKK, so no big deal. It's not that the upper management of the company seems to treat staff as poorly legally possible -- getting screwed by your employer is just par for the course these days, right?
None of these gravely regrettable traits is what prevents me from purchasing and inspires the 1 Star rating they received. In fact, the reason is that the vast majority of times I go in looking for a specific item, they simply don't carry it. Today it was a Nikon camera cable (yes they sell Nikon cameras, no they don't sell the cables for said cameras), another day it was something else. Unfortunately, the frequency of occasions where I walk out empty-handed, feeling like an idiot for stopping in has reached a point where I don't even want to try any more.

Read moreBest Buy has had my business for many years. I have always had a great experience, until now. I realize that it was black Friday, but they have been around long enough to know how to prepare. We waited nearly ten hours for our online pickup order to be fulfilled, which never happened. Within an hour of placing our order, I received an email saying that our order had been picked, and they would let us know when it was ready. Two hours later, we were in the area and stopped by to ask about the status. As I said before, I know that it was a hectic day. However, no one knew what was going on, and I could not get a straight answer. I was led to believe that it would be soon. Went to lunch, and came back an hour and a half later, same runaround. Went to do other shopping. At 4 pm, we called and were finally given a bit of info. We were told that our TV had to be shipped from a different store. This was the fourth time we asked. Turns out the TV was not in stock as the website said. Flash forward to 7:45 pm. We call again, still no straight answer, no one even knows where the TV is. I could have driven to Wyoming and picked the thing up in that time. My wife asked to be connected to the store manager. The phone transfer happened...I think. It sounded like she was hung up on. Called back, was told she was put in a queue for a callback. Never happened. No response at all. Either the system that is used does not work, or the staff and management are incompetent or do not care. I am thinking a bit of both. Bad show Best Buy. You blew it big time. To those reading this? I actually received something similar, close to that particular model, however but not the model I was looking for with a foil included that was advertise on Best buy's website, however there was no foil within the package I received. The old saying is you never get a second chance to the first impression. This is my first visit to Best buy in over 2 years and I use curbside pickup to have the wrong product given to me. Discovering this whenever I got home made me very concerned about the employee structure and the integrity and entitlement of the inner company procedures. Tighten it up Best Buy.This could have been avoided. The one time I get out to experience the Best buy experience; I was met with aggravation. Tighten it up Best buy, you look good, because you are good. Double check your product & sky's. Pay closer attention and double check your paperwork and match it to the product on your website. If this happened to me, whom else might this have happened to that may have not said anything! Guess what? You ever heard of a mystery shopper? On that particular day you scored below normal best buy. I'm trying to be tactful but yet nice at the same time. Tighten it up you need to. Back to the basics.
