Strike Zone — Local services in Derby

The facility is great...great concept, unique game options, and an open floor for playing. When I first got here today, I was considering using this place for my kid’s birthday (I was attending my nephew’s birthday party), however I will never give my money to a place who’s employees act the way the lady did tonight. My sister was planning to use her entire 1 1/2 hours of rented time for dodgeball, not opening gifts there (she was taking them home), not serving her cupcakes (those were going to be sent out the door with the kids as they left), and the lady who was in charge felt she had a right to dictate how the party went. She made my sister take from the playtime and serve the cupcakes, but before the kids (and 1 adult) could leave the play area, she forced all of them (including the adult) to use her hand sanitizer. One child tried to walk past her, and she turned on the attitude stating “don’t you walk past me”, forcing him to use the sanitizer. When they were done eating the cupcakes, and tried to return to the field to play more, she started yelling at them “where do you think you’re going”. Before she would start the games again, she started insisting on the remaining payment (because my sister had only paid the deposit and again taking from the rented time) in cash (when my sister had discussed with the owner of the facility to use Venmo), and was refusing to let her take care of the payment at the end. If it was that big of deal, she should of asked for the payment before the party started, and not in the middle of the party, which was taking more time away from the rented playtime. Then, when my sister told her about the issues with her behavior and attitude, this trick called the owner and told her that my sister was refusing to pay (which was NEVER the case). The owner had to come up to assist in settling the issues. Even more issues occurred with the employee beforehand, but this post is long enough. The resolution provided by the owner, in my opinion, was only somewhat acceptable. She did give a $50 discount, but it was also suggested that we stay longer with the same trick overseeing us to make up for the lost time and the inconvenience. That part was not acceptable. Who wants to stay extra time with such a rude and disrespectful person, that was the unacceptable offer. Because of this one occurrence, six parents were beyond aggravated and disappointed in who this facility let’s run this place. I don’t care if this lady is requested, because she was beyond unprofessional today, and I will never recommend or return to this place ever again all because of this...

If you like dodge ball, soccer, or even baseball, then this place is for you! You can have private birthday parties here, or even just play for fun. You can play many rounds of dodge ball, soccer and baseball. You can also have up to I think 12 people at a time! This is a really fun place to go and it's really fun to have your birthday party here! I would recommend this place if you like...

Had my sons birthday party here. All around had an amazing time here! The music was lit 😎 and all the kids were doing their little Fortnite dances! If you like dodgeball then this is a great place for you! Felt very welcomed. We’ll be here...
