JCPenney — Local services in Derry Township

All I wanted was a nice Spring jacket. Found one. On sale too! However after walking around the store for 10 minutes trying to find a cash register that was actually open, I found one. Two people ahead of me in line. After waiting for those two different transactions that took a very long time, and the sales associate calling for help for a price check, she irritatingly told me and three other people behind me that we weren’t standing in the right spot to check out. Mind you, we were standing where the line had already formed prior to us walking up to check out. At this point it had been almost a 20 minute ordeal. I put my stuff down and left. I get that times are rough, clearly understaffed and the associate was not pleasant and let us all stand there after checking out two people who stood right where we were and then said, “sorry I was waiting on customers, line forms over...

I recently bought a necklace here and it broke so I took it back to be fixed. I have bought jewlerly here before on many occasions. The past few times I've dealt with Janet who was terribly unpleasant and just plain rude every time. The first time I thought nothing of it cause we all have bad days but I've dealt with her a total of 3 times now and she's been terrible every time. She is very rude and short and acts like she doesn't want to deal with you. I will no longer buy any jewlery from this store due to her attitude. If you hate your job that much, QUIT. Pretty decent shopping experience. Expensive, but good sales and clearance prices. Some other quirks. No seating (like most stores though), no bathroom to use, most annoyingly, no shopping carts or baskets. Another frustration I encountered, was that when I went to make a payment towards the in store credit card, they can't even tell me the balance owed on my card. Additionally, I discovered that in searching for a shirt my size from the discount rack in an alternate color, and unable to find one, I find another whole section of the very same shirts in a completely different part of the store, because logic.
