The Original Italian Pizza & Restaurant — Restaurant in Burnham

This is usually one of my favorite places to eat..I don't know what has happened but it was not ideal this time..some of us do KETO so we end up with salads with added meat..that is no problem for us..however the salads now come in a smaller oval dish which is heaped up to make it in my opinion appear larger than when it came in a large dinner bowl type dish..we had great difficulty mixing in our dressings to which we add mayo for extra fat..also my salad did not have what was listed in the description and what there was of the ingredients you could count them all on one hand..there was a hard tasteless wedge of tomato and a slice of cucumber and maybe two small onion slices..this is an overpriced dinner salad not a side salad..there was a decent size chicken breast but I had to move part of my salad to my bread plate because the dish was too small to be able to cut up the chicken which was extra..the hard boiled egg added as extra and I had upgraded romaine lettuce again extra in place of head lettuce..those of us who had regular pasta dishes were satisfied with their choices but there again portion size was not as it used to be..since I usually am the one who pays for everyones meals it was way overpriced for what was served..the service was as usual very good but this time I was very disappointed in the food ..I don't think I will be back until others say it has returned to...

this place may not really be the real "original" Italian pizza and restaurant, but it certainly is a classic.

there is plenty of parking off of busy north Logan Boulevard between Lewistown and Yeagertown Pennsylvania. This is just a short hop off of state route 322. I definitely recommend the side trip if you are enroute to or from State College from Harrisburg.

The service was hopping, and all of the staff were very attentive and accommodating. I mentioned I wanted coffee and our server immediately said she would brew a fresh pot for me.

The food was truly classic Italian, starting with a generous serving of bread and a side salad. The main dishes were excellent and quantities were oversized.

Workers are very rude to doordashers. They change the DoorDash rules seems to be every time I go here. We now have to not only show the name for the order but also confirm before we leave the store. Will no longer be picking orders up for this store as it’s the only one that does this and makes me late due to this. We are not to confirm until we have the order and are ON OUR WAY. Very bad reviews for myself on this so I figured I had to leave a bad review for this workplace as well.
