Uptown Center — Local services in Des Moines

Yes Hy-Vee on 42nd and University I go there the quite frequently that's my neighborhood grocery store but the fact that the management Dave ordered me special things that other hyvees might have and they don't and they are great about it where I can order a case of lemons and get it I can turn around and ask for a favorite kind of ice cream they order it I mean I love my HyVee grocery store and management and the people that work there are so fantastic and so cool and nice and they're doing their work weather conversation with you so they're getting the job done and pleasing and understanding people that are I love them and I always get my diamond books or a book and every time I do I win and I only get my lottery books well that scratch books 20 bucks a book but and the lowest I've won has been 20 to buy another one and then I want I want 180 and then I'll win another 40 and that I just keep taking that 20 and praying it back and then using the rest of the money for groceries I think management and hobby and I think their personnel and the cashier's they're great and I will just keep on going back thank you so much. BONE-A-PATREAT♡ We love to spoil our boys🐈🐈 and they have great treats, grain-free wet and dry foods (geared towards kitty's natural needs), and life-like toys. It's not just about dogs anymore! The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

CAMPBELL'S is awesome, too. Healthy treats. DO try the fresh baked yoghurt carrot cake!

We shop HY-VEE for all of our basic groceries, and use their money center to pick up Money Orders for rent...have been regulars at these shops for going on 6 years, since we moved to the Drake area. It's so convenient having all of these places in one stop. You can even grab a caffeinated pick me up at FREIDRICH'S COFFEE. That place is a mainstay of the area! It's been there since I was in high school at Roosevelt, & I'm 40 now😊.

I just have yet to visit ZUMI. I'm thinking this spring for some maxi dresses from Asia. I've window shopped Zumi and they have some lovely clothing & accessories from the Silk Road and Africa.

I was told that Hy Vee here had a post office and to my disappointment and I didn’t think that it was much of a post office, Just like Hy Vee they will try anything to get customers inside and hopefully someone will pay there prices. I see that Wal Mart is doing a Wonderful job of catching up with Hy Vee’s price’s ! Really take a closer look at at how much things are going up at the stores, they know that most people are hung up due to people not used to being around people after the Covid outbreak. Just so hard to see this starting to happen in Iowa, look at how many people are pouring in to your state after making their home state a tax burden on people who can’t leave that state.
