The Juice Company — Restaurant in Des Moines

I’ve been coming to Juice Co since I was in elementary school, I am a senior in high school now and it is still one of my favorite spots. In more recent years i’ve been very unimpressed with the service being provided. Some days I get served by an older man (assuming the manager) and his service is always straight forward and nice. But more often than not it is high schoolers who aren’t friendly, like at all. I came in today, said hi to the cashier and she barely said hi back and just stared at me. I had to ask her if she was ready to take my order (which I shouldn’t have to do) after I told her my order she didn’t say another word, once I was done paying she walked away from the register. When my drink was ready, there was another guy (assuming to be older than a high schooler) slide my drink across the counter and said my drink order as he was walking away. This doesn’t sound like a “big deal” but It’s common sense to be more friendly to paying customers. I went to the Ankeny store with high expectations because I have heard great things and I have never tried it before. Excited, I walked in and the person at the counter was helping a man in line. I went up to order after him and didn't quite know what I wanted, plus I wanted to get something for my boss. Since it was my first visit, I didn't quite know the menu and the lady working said why don't you ask your boss what to get, I don't want to keep him (the guy waiting for his drink) waiting. Said this very snarky-like. She could have been nicer and more friendly about it, it came off as so rude. I am a customer too. Her customer service needs to improve if she wants to keep customers. I turned around and walked out and don't plan on going back which makes me sad because I was so excited to...

Visit here with my partner from time to time and it’s always delicious. The chocolate peanut butter smoothie add toffee is to die for. My partner loves the aloha. Service is quick even when it’s busy. My only suggestion would be to add a green smoothie or juice that has greens but also has something to give it a little more sweetness to make it a little more palatable. I’m a big fan of green juices/smoothies (everyone needs a little extra veggies in their diet!) but the options here are definitely an acquired taste. They do let you know that up front and give a free sample before you buy, which is nice. An option like greens with pineapple and banana would be cool.
