Jobe's Hair Braiding — Local services in Detroit

Very rude, unprofessional, unclean and I had the worse experience ever. I met with them on Satuarday to make a appointment for Sunday February 12th for my daughter and I. My hair was way over due for a braid take down which was my fault. The African lady litterly beat me in the head with a brush while my child was watching. My child told me later on that the lady called me stupid while I went away to the beauty supply store. My child also told me that they were trying to find out her first and last name. Our names are of no importance at a braid shop. My child is a teenager and I repeatedly told them not to braid her too tight. When they were done braiding her I noticed her scalp was red and her scalp bubbled up from being too tight. When they were almost done the African lady kept telling me "pay me, pay me and no we are not re doing any braids. We were locked inside this shop with no way out. The African lady refused to see about my child's scalp and she stated she will call the cops. I was yelled at by the owner and her sister . There was no need for cops we just wanted her braids looser. I gave her the money and had to finish my daughter's braids at home being that they didn't cut the hair or put them in hot water like they were supposed to. 1st experience was fine, so I went back a few months later. This time the owner and her aunt were both on different sides of my head. One side of my head turned out dramatically shorter than the other, I never wore the kinky twist down because of this. I asked that my twist be started as braids so they wouldn't unravel, only the edges of my head were started as braids (as though they thought I wouldn't check beyond the first 2 rows). Finally, the aunt knocked my stud earring out somehow, wouldn't help look for it, just asked to be paid so she could leave... The owner is really nice, but I will not be back after that last visit. I went to get my actual hair braided and she did a great job. I returned 3 weeks later to get rebraided with hair added this time, I had a headache for 2 days because the braids were too tight, on top of that my braids in the front were smaller in the front and bigger in the back. She started out small then went bigger she wasn’t pleasant at all. She told a walk in who wanted box braids to go somewhere else at 11 am on a Saturday morning.
