Update:5/03/24 no where does it say you will be charged a fee for bringing stuff from the hardware section to the food section. A dollar extra because you want to really? Owner mentions in another review they charge what they buy then charge the 10% at the end but then how come the same size coffee creamer just a different flavor cost significantly more? Probably cause it sells more of that kind actually. What a rip off. Build a wall to make it two different stores instead of being a jerk. I really wish someone would build a home Depot or Lowe's out here already.
Literally need to check dates on packages because they continue to sell old products and if it's on sell check the date for sure because it's probably old. Bought Gatorade on sale tasted weird looked at the date it was well passed and Gatorade lasts years so that was stupid old yet they sell it anyways. They are incredibly expensive they sell coffee creamer in the smaller size at the full size bottle price plus the extra tax they charge. It's a rip off store if your not careful what you buy. The owner obviously doesn't care about anything but making money with all it's old nasty food. Is the heath inspector a thing? They need to get it together or their gonna get shut...
Read moreVery rude store manager. My parents and I were on the lookout for some usable pallets for a project we are working on. We noticed this store has a huge amount. I therefore went inside to ask the gentlemen at the Ace hardware register if I could take 4 of them and if that would be a problem. (Because I wouldn’t assume I can take something whiteout asking.) He stated no that would not be a problem. As we were loading the pallets the “store manager” came up to us flashing his very official badge that we were not allowed to take them and came up to us very rude and asking us aggressively who said we could take them. We explained that I had asked the man at the register. He didn’t like that answer and explained to us that we could not take them. The problem here is not that we couldn’t take the pallets but the fact was how unprofessional he was and how a man can’t handle a simple misunderstanding. He also waited around for us to leave as if we would try to sneak them off when he left. Will not be attending this store ever again because of this little interaction which did not have to be handle...
Read moreWhile it is nice to sometimes have an alternative to Wal-Mart, they add a mysterious 10% mark-up at the register, some of their items are blatantly price gouging, and their hours are not as good. All the prices they list are a lie to begin with because it is really that plus 10%. Like, they created their own internal tax. How is this legal? Oh and check out this snow brush price. $57.91 (plus 10%) for a plastic brush that I found online for $5. This was the night right before the snow that never arrived. Even the cashier thought it was ridiculous because they were kind enough to warn me. The employees here are the best thing about this store actually. They're super helpful. I think this needs to change. Just list normal final prices and ditch the 10% lower façade. Also, you can't just overcharge people for emergency situation items! That's got...
