Dillard's — Local services in Dothan

When I got Dillard's it was a couple of people in the Big and Tall Section. I'm a Black man, there was one other Black man in the area for a few minutes and one White guy and maybe his girlfriend or wife was all shopping in thus area. So, I noticed the female Salesperson kept asking if I needed help who just happened to be White. So, this kind of went on for a while. I don't mind a little attention when I'm shopping but when I let you know that I'll need some help. Shortly after that, the Security guard shows up and posts up right where he watched everything I was doing. While pretending to be on his phone when he might have been recording me for all I know, but instead of leaving. I finished my shopping but when I went to the Colgne section, where there were three Black employees... I was treated with respect, not followed around until I needed assistance. Thanks to Jasmine, which was an Angel the entire time I was there. Thank you so much, Jasmine, in the Beauty Section for making me feel like a customer, not a criminal. Dillard's at Wiregrass Commons Mall in Dothan is our favorite place for many of our personal and gifting needs. Especially for gifts of fine fragrances, skin care products, makeup, and watches. Kaneisha and the other associates in the fragrance department have always gone above and beyond. She takes time to help us find the perfect fragrance or skin care products for each person we are looking for. She even goes out of her way to remember the preferred fragrances of our daughters and when their birthdays are. The lovely ladies at the watch counter are absolutely equally as helpful, especially Mrs. Juanita. Our son receives the most helpful service in the purse department when shopping for his sisters and I as well. Overall I would highly recommend this location for your personal and gifting needs. No help!! Told to go over to 2 departments and maybe someone there could help me! This was said by the person in customer service !! I wanted help in bedding . I found a table runner with no price. Price could not be found by help. No sale! With down to hand bags. Found a bag that was by Patricia Nash, that I bought. The lady in that department is always very helpful. The store is very much in need of more help! It easier to shop online. I have always liked Dillard's, but you can't run a store with such a small staff. One person trying to work three departments! It is asking to much!! This is happening in a lot of stores.There again no help in the Christmas department,it was beautiful! No sales help! As for me, online is looking better...
