Legacy Hall Event Center — Local services in Douglasville

So I’m giving this venue a 3 because they did an amazing job with the decorations and everything was beautiful. Unfortunately I am unable to give a perfect score because for me customer service is everything and I just didn’t receive the best service from this venue owner. If you are looking for a venue to take the stress off and make you feel welcome this is not the place to host your event. I honestly felt like a burden and like I wasn’t wanted in this space. I was only tolerated because I paid for a service. I received a contract the week of my event with details that should have beenaid my deposit. I was also told about a security deposit the week of (which I have no problem paying) but why would you not get all this sorted in advance or mention it in advance. I was rushed the day of my event to bring her the deposit before my event (which cause me to be late to my shower). She then instructed me to have guys who attended my shower to take out the trash when I advised no one was there at the end to walk it to the dumpster she then insinuated that I (8months pregnant) should have stayed so she can point me in the direction of the dumpsters. I was also told we had to be out by 7 we were out by 6:53 (owner was not there to ensure) We had family in town that needed to be taken to the airport and could not wait for her to return to the venue. It just wasn’t a smooth process after needless to say she kept our deposit despit us cleaning up (I also paid for decorating services because I knew I didn’t want to have to set up or clean up after) that also wasn’t honored. My birthday celebration was great but not because of the owner. She was very unprofessional. She was very rude and sent a very childish and immature email. All this because we complained about not getting what we agreed upon. After having to iron the linen that was handed to us out of a plastic bag, and clean debris before our event, we were rushing before our guests arrived. Then she practically threatened us with the hint of black listing us. All this after she received payment and returned the security deposit.
