Just left around 6:30p. Got there around 6p with my wife and two boys. They had one lane available in the bowling factory. My wife and two sons bowled with the ball getting stuck on two of the three turns. One time a pin had made its way to the ball return…not sure how the heck that happens. My turn comes and the ball gets stuck again. So I informed the guy that we want our money back. He said we had to go to the front. Walk up, say hello to the lady, mentioned what had happened and I would like a refund. All I received was attitude back. Almost wished I would have given her the same she gave me. Either way…she says ok with attitude …so what do you want with attitude…I said either a refund or credit, still being very respectful. She calls the guy in the back to come up. They talked for a little bit and she gives me a credit with a lot better attitude this time and apologizes for the lane issue…I understand people might not be having a good day but I could of easily walked up and been a butt like her, but I was not. I will be back to use my credit but never to return. Went to Thunderzone a few exits up and got a way...
Read moreI fully understand that once you oil a lane, the pattern degrades with each ball thrown. I also know that most of the house balls are urethane and don't absorb oil. But to go to a bowling alley and have a Columbia Blue dot start reading the lane around the 20 board at 15-20 feet is obnoxious. Restaurants have managers and chefs that monitor quality and temperatures. Does an open pit BBQ place put fuel in the pit in the morning and not add fuel? No, because if they did by 9pm they would be trying to cook over ashes and you would get nothing but raw meat. Bowling alley need to understand that by not maintaining the lanes they HURT their business and they potentially damage their lanes too. The people working at Southern Lanes need to monitor the lane conditions and add oil to them when they are dry, or stop putting people on the lanes. It is not the responsibility of the bowler to have to go and complain about a dry lane. Each resurface gives the lane X number of shots on it. When the number of shots equals X you need to resurface the lane, or stop...
Read moreWhat happened.?.? Use to be a great place. My most recent experience over the weekend was horrible. Tables and floors dirty. Staff was very rude and dismissive as if they didn't want to be there. Please hire staff that enjoy working with people. Customer service sucked!! One girl totally ignored a young boy who was trying to cash in tickets. He literally stood waving trying to get her attention and she pretended not to see. (Not sure if it was racial but.......) Also staff will begin to rush you out begore closing, even turning off multiple games hours before closing. To Management: Please hire better or have one responsible, professional person there at all times to ensure things are running smooth. People come there to have fun!!!!! Also you might need to hire a janitor to keep the place clean or atleast make a schedule for staff to routinely wipe down. If not that, atleast place wipes out to sanitize. The best part was the police presence. Felt safe while disgusted with this experience. Not sure if I'll...
