I’m so disappointed in my experience there. I went in looking for anything that could work for a Kentucky Derby party, mainly a hat or flowers for a fascinator. I spot a big purple flower hanging on a pair of pants on the wall through the hanger with a price tag on it, and think “perfect’! The owner (or Manager, definitely an authority in the store) asked me what I’m looking for and I mentioned anything Kentucky Derby theme. I told her I found this flower and I’ll stick it on a headband. She says “where did you find that?” I point to the pair of pants. She says “it’s not for sale. It’s our Easter decor.” I was mortified and said “oh no really? Lol! Ok well it has a price tag on it and it was on the hanger with these pants. Can I buy it? You’re not going to let me pay for this?” “No. Sorry.” First of all, Easter was 3 weeks ago. Second, you’re a store. A thrift store at that. Don’t you want to sell anything and everything in there? What bothered me most was that she didn’t offer anything else that could work. She said no, and turned away from me. In front of 5 other shoppers in there. Her behavior was rude and I won’t ever walk in this store again. Over an old wrinkled flower that was clearly displayed for sale since it was looped through some clothing....
Read moreI really have only shopped their jewelry. I can't speak for the rest of the store. That said, this place is amazing. They have a wonderful selection of vintage jewelry ranging from diamonds, precious stones and diamonds. Granted selection can vary, but I have never been disappointed. They have an appraiser come in and look at all the jewelry so you always know what you are getting. Plus, the prices are super fair. I bought a pair of antique pearl and diamond sterling silver earrings for $90. The most comparable thing I found new was about $400. So, not only did I get a great deal but it's also vintage and my money is supporting a worthy cause. Plus, the ladies are always super nice and helpful. I tried a lot of different pieces and they always gave me honest feedback. Which I appreciate. They weren't just trying to get me to buy something. I will be...
Read moreI had fun looking around at all their items and found a few that I wanted to purchase. When I got up to the counter, they were helping one lady, but there was another lady near the counter that kept moving around. I did not think she was in line, so when I stepped forward to be rung up, both ladies working behind the counter gave me the dirtiest looks and said the other lady was first. I immediately apologized and stepped back. The two ladies were curt and stone-faced after that. I regret making my purchase after that misunderstanding. I was not trying to be rude and I was not oblivious, it was NOT clear that the other lady was before me based on the way she was moving around and still adding/removing items from her cart. That's the last time I...
