The Paper Unicorn — Local services in Doylestown

The most horrible experience ever! Went inside the store. Lovely merchandise; pretty pricey. Found a dress that I liked. Wanted to see if I can try it on in front of a mirror. They sent me into a super small room disappointment was so filthy with super dirty floor with garbage on the floor and dirt all over; lightning was bad and I couldn’t figure out if the dress looks good on me or not, so then the woman sent me to the bathroom which was worse than the “closet she sent me in”. Bathroom looked worse than the public bathroom, so much garbage in the floor, super dirty floor and garbage can looked so fill as I’d no on emptied it for days…so sad and dusgusting. I couldn’t even concentrate on the dress bcs I was so distracted by dirt and garbage all over the floor. I left that bathroom and snd came out to the floor when older woman asked me “do you want to get this dress??” & I said to the woman “Is this your bathroom? Do you use it?? It’s so dirty and filthy! Looks disgusting! How can you possibly use it??” She said “you are disgusting!” 😳😳😳 That’s exactly what she said to me, I said “you should be ashamed selling expensive merchandise here and having such a filthy bathroom” . You don’t deserve even $1 from me & I left, what a disappointment! Shame to...

While I find the store to have some lovely decor (good place for emergency wrapping paper), the staff is consistently unfriendly. I've been here about 4 times now and every single time I've left wondering if I've offended someone because of how cold the staff was. I have never been greeted with so much as a "hello" despite the counter's proximity to the entrance and just this past weekend the cashier was very short with me. I'm not saying you have to chat everyone up and be their best friend, but being cold and putting on stony-faced scowls is not a good look. It's noticeable, and I will probably shop for...

The generous 2-star rating is for the store's mixed array of merchandise. The remaining 3 stars were subtracted due to this and other customers ongoing dissatisfaction with managements lack of: friendliness, warmth towards patrons, general helpfulness, welcoming, courteous, and respectful demeanor. Doylestown's quaint and friendly atmosphere has yet to be achieved at the Paper Unicorn. I do hope this review will prompt an about change and soon in management....
