I really try to never bash a business completely, especially In this economy, where many businesses are doing the best they can just to remain in business… with that said, the experience here was so poor from beginning to end. It started with the office being on the 4th floor & the elevator being broken, and no one bothered to call me in advance to make sure that I was able-bodied and capable of walking up 4 flights of stairs. Thankfully, I am in good shape and can easily climb 4 flights of stairs. But when I mentioned it to the manager, he acted as if it was no big deal. So I feel for anyone who is not able to climb 4 flights of stairs in case you come here & the elevator is still broken. Then there was the bathroom that they use with no paper towel or anything inside for you to dry your hands. Again, when I mentioned this to the manager, instead, he went and grabbed me some paper towel out of the back room in the office instead of restocking the bathroom with paper towel. And then there was the massage itself, which was clearly done by someone who is a beginner. So I gave her some grace. Even though it was clear she didn’t really know what she was doing, and I definitely did not receive the deep tissue massage that I paid for. As soon as I was finished and came out of the room, instead of the manager asking how my massage was or asking for any feedback Like most professional places do, the only thing he asked me is how much of a tip I wanted to leave the massage therapist. Super unprofessional! it’s almost like he knew it was bad and didn’t care. I would’ve nicely shared with him if he had asked, that the massage simply wasn’t deep tissue, and wasn’t what I was expecting. I would’ve even been willing to not leave them a poor review. Maybe he could have acknowledged that she’s a beginner, and given me the name of a more seasoned massage therapist who I could see the Next time. But I will be honest with you all I wouldn’t trust any of the good reviews listed, because like I said, this was such a poor experience from top to bottom. I would not return and I would not recommend this place to anyone simply for how poorly the business is being run. I’m not expecting any business to be perfect, but I am expecting a level of customer service when people are paying good money for a massage. The worst part is, I’m leaving the massage an even more pain than I was in when...
Read moreI always believe in giving honest feedback, after all, how can a business improve without it? I’m giving a 2 because the staff were kind and welcoming, and for the Groupon price, the experience was about what I expected. However, if I had paid full price, this would have been a 1-star experience.
I’ll start with the fact that I arrived late, but that was due to my ride service arriving behind schedule, not entirely my fault. The location was difficult to find, and once I arrived, the elevator was out of order, so I had to climb 4 flights of stairs to reach a very small office. When I hear “med spa,” I picture a spacious, relaxing atmosphere, this was not that.
The receptionist was lovely and offered water and candy, which I appreciated. The treatment room, however, had paper-thin walls. I could clearly hear laughter and full conversations from other clients and staff, including one client telling the provider she”didn’t want injections, just the same thing as last time”. It was distracting and took away from the relaxation.
My massage therapist was polite and asked about pressure, which I appreciated. The hot stones, however, were extremely hot, I’m honestly hoping I didn’t get burned. The music looped the same sound repeatedly, which became unsettling. And the massage bed was uncomfortable, a hard surface with a bar pressing against my chin the entire time.
Being undressed on a massage table is already a vulnerable position, so I didn’t feel comfortable speaking up mid-session. My biggest suggestion is better communication and more frequent check-ins with clients during treatment. The team was kind, but small improvements, comfort, ambiance, communication, and equipment quality, could make a big difference for...
Read moreI called on Monday to book a package that included a facial cleansing and a 60-minute massage for two people. During the call, I clearly explained that we live about 45 minutes away and needed to have both services done on the same day, as we wouldn’t be able to come back another time.
The staff assured me that it would be possible, and the appointment was scheduled for Thursday, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. — one hour for each person, so that while one of us received the massage, the other would get the facial, and then we would switch. Everything seemed confirmed that way.
However, when we arrived today, we were told that only the massage had been booked, and not the facial, which was actually the service we were most interested in. This lack of organization and communication is extremely frustrating and disappointing, especially since the reservation was made in advance and we relied on the staff’s confirmation.
In addition to the wasted time and travel, not honoring what was agreed upon shows a clear lack of professionalism and respect toward customers. We were expecting a relaxing and well-coordinated experience, but instead, we left upset and completely dissatisfied with how everything was handled.
I would not recommend this place to anyone who values reliability and professionalism when...
