⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional Stay at Hampton Inn & Suites International Drive North!
Our family had the most wonderful experience staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites International Drive North. From the moment we arrived, the staff were fantastic — with a special mention to William and Natalie, who truly went above and beyond to make us feel warmly welcomed throughout our stay.
Our room was spotless, spacious, and very well maintained. Fresh towels were provided daily, and the bedding was changed several times during our visit. The room offered plenty of USB charging points, sockets, and lamps, as well as a fridge, microwave, and a small kitchen area, which was extremely handy for a family. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and there was more than enough storage space, including a full wardrobe and suitcase cupboard.
When we had a small issue with the fridge, it was swiftly resolved — a great example of the team’s excellent service. The hotel itself felt modern, bright, and spacious, with a calm, relaxing atmosphere.
The pool area, located on the east side of the building, enjoyed the sun throughout the morning and early afternoon. The pool ranged from 3ft to 5ft in depth, with plenty of sun loungers, tables, and chairs, plus complimentary towels — perfect for a mid-day break.
The amenities were outstanding: ice machines on every floor, a well-equipped gym on the ground level, and a handy laundry room on the fourth floor with large washers and dryers (payable via app). There’s also a small shop in the lobby for snacks and essentials, which even stocks detergent for the laundry room.
Breakfast each morning was a real highlight! There was something for everyone — hot and cold options, including eggs (served in different styles daily), chicken and pork sausages, waffles, bagels, toast, cereals, porridge, muffins, fresh juices, and a great selection of coffee and tea. Even better, complimentary tea, coffee, and hot chocolate were available in the lobby all day.
The hotel’s location couldn’t be better — set just slightly back from International Drive, it was quiet enough to relax but only a few minutes’ walk to shops, restaurants, and attractions. Universal, SeaWorld, and Disney were just a short Uber ride away. Free parking was available on site, and there were always plenty of spaces.
While you can sometimes hear a little traffic from the nearby highway, it’s nothing to worry about — the hotel even provides earplugs for light sleepers, and you can request a room away from the noise if preferred.
Overall, our stay was absolutely fantastic, and we can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. It truly felt like a home away from home and made our holiday even more special. Thank you to everyone at Hampton Inn & Suites International Drive North for providing such a...
Read moreI had a one week stay here at the Hampton in one of the King suites. The room itself is decent enough. There is a desk to work at, the mini fridge is convenient, and there is an AC under the window. I did not care much for the foods served at the breakfast buffet though it is complimentary. Generally I found the hotel attendants to be welcoming and friendly, particularly Ana who checked me in the first day.
However, this hotel comes with an array of problems that continued to pile up throughout the week stay. First, despite the no-smoking policy, I repeatedly had heavy cigarette smoke in my room on multiple days that I assumed travelled through the vents from another nearby room. The smoke triggered my allergies and also gave me a strong headache. Despite contacting guest services twice about the issue, no tangible actions were made other than a "walk" through the hallways to investigate the smell (although nothing was resolved, and the cigarette smoke of course returned the following days).
On our last night, we also saw some kind of lizard/large roach crawl through our room and under the couch. Disturbed, we texted guest services with no response. Seeing how it was, we went downstairs to ask the attendant if anything could be done, such as switching our rooms. Joel, the attendant, with no sympathy whatsoever, said that there was absolutely nothing that could be done. He did not even offer an apology or take any step towards resolution.
Instead, he rudely dismissed us to just contact a manager if we were upset about it and wanted some kind of compensation. I found it disrespectful that he even implied that our ultimate motive was to get some kind of compensation, as if I would make up something like this. Regardless, I did not find that my troubles were taken seriously.
Room services aside, the hotel room is incredibly noisy as it is located immediately next to a busy freeway. Also, its location is so tucked away in the back of an inconspicuous lot that it was very difficult for many of our Lyft drivers to find us.
Overall, I appreciate the hotel for having me the last several days, but unfortunately this hotel will be the last on my list during my next stay in Orlando.
Edit: One of the attendants Veronica was very sympathetic about the issues and helpful during our check out process, so I...
Read moreWe called ahead of time to make the reservation and asked for a higher floor because I am a very light sleeper as I have been in many hotels and usually parents and kids get bottom floors to be near the car and the pool. So the lady on the phone said ok here is the nuber just show it to the front destination and they will give you your keys to your room. Upon arrival there was only one person to check us in he didn't even tell us we will be with you shortly didn't seem to care other people were there. Then this other attendant came very unprofessional eating and with his mouth full tap the other guy hey like he didn't know his name do you know if this computer is working. The other attendant said no I don't know. He goes to put his information in so he could check us in and then without asking us anything other than credit card and I.D gives my husband and I our room keys I look at the room number and I said oh this says room 1 something that's on the first floor I asked for a higher floor well I don't see that in our computer it says mobile which is for people that have mobility problems and I said I asked for a higher room well I can't do anything about that. I asked can you call another hampton inn yes but you'll still have to pay for tonight I said that's not fair. Then he looked at his computer and said I could give you this room I asked and paid for a king bed which is a bit more well I ended up with a room that smelled like socks and mold and with 2 queen beds the couch had stains and the walls were chipped and the bathtub had hair in it. The ac was leaking but I fixed that at 2 am because I kept hearing drip, drip, drip. I am a light sleeper so I fixed it and just went back to bed. Early that morning the workers in this hotel were so loud I woke up. They were Hispanic and loud I'm from a Hispanic family so I know. But when in a hotel for repairs they should of told us and I would of come prepared. When my husband and I left there was no one at the front desk and had to wait a while. Also the man didn't ask how our stay was or anything he was he had a face like ok have a nice day. Kinda rude we love hampton inn we stay there all the time my husband is a member with Hilton so we get points but I haven't been in a hampton that needed work to their staff in friendly Ness and...
