Swung by to get my emissions done, told them that I only wanted that done since I have other business to handle at the DMV, and also I have an exemption so I shouldnât be charged for registration. They charged me for both, couldnât refund me, and said to go to the DMV and they could refund me. Went to the DMV right after, and they said they couldnât refund me because the payment take 24 hours to post. Told me to go back to the emissions place and they should be able to give me a refund. Went back to emissions place, still unable to refund me. Now I have hoops to jump through with the state, when the whole mess could have been prevented if the associate at the front had attention to detail and remembered not to renew my registration as I asked.
Edit to reply to the business owned: unacceptable that you are pointing the blame at me when the first thing I said to the employee at the front desk was that I did not want to renew my registration. He didnât tell me what he was charging my card for the second time, he only told me what the total was. One of my first times doing emissions here, so for all I know it was emissions related. He didnât tell me what it was for, just the total. Should I have asked why he was charging my card again? Sure thatâs a fair argument. But the first thing I told the employee was that I ONLY needed emissions and would be handling the registration at the DMV. I canât see what heâs doing behind the computer. Thatâs Customer Service 101 - clearly communicate exactly what the customer is being charged for.
Also I went to the DMV yesterday right after your employee told me to and they said they couldnât refund me, that your business could. So I called the County Clerk and tried to see what to do. Now I have to drive to the state capital to handle this with the County Clerk in person because I have an exemption and need to be refunded in person.
Listen Iâm a reasonable person, but to get the finger pointed at me as a customer when I clearly communicated my expectations right from the beginning...
Read moreHad an appointment at 10:00. I'm nervous going to new places, but received two emails prior to the appointment that told me exactly where to park & how early to arrive, which I appreciate so much. Even then I was just over ten minutes early & he got me in right away. Even replaced my back windshield wiper last minute (I'd stopped in at Auto Zone a few weeks ago & they didn't even have the right wiper). We were driving away at 10:02. My son had brought some cards with us to play while we waited & we never even had time to get them out. The only thing I felt could be improved on was the young woman inside who took my payments - she's clearly just less experienced & when the printer jammed she had to go get the tech who was working on the cars to fix the jam. She's also quieter & was talking to us from behind the stand of greeting cards that's right next to the desk (we were sitting in the chairs at the south wall), so I wasn't sure she was talking to us at first. I think there could be a better place for that stand, but none of that was a deal breaker for me. Really no complaints.
*update: i really wasnât complaining about the young lady, I was mentioning her inexperience and that the stand of cards is in a really bad spot. Iâm happy sheâs able to start there and I agree that we all have to start somewhere. In fact I felt like she was professional and knowledgeable about everything but the printer. Iâm sorry you felt I was not appreciating her enough. I gave you a five star review, Iâm surprised at the defensive response. Maybe Iâll come back next time I...
Read moreWould not recommend after policy change. I have been going here for many years for my vehicle emissions / safety inspections, for one because they are nearby, but importantly because the cash wash was included with emissions test as provided in the purchase price I paid.
I have four vehicles and were provided 4 Basic Car Wash vouchers (no expiration date) during the past year. I was also told that the car wash could be redeemed in the future. I went to redeem a voucher today, and was told (by female employee) that they are no longer honoring the Car Wash voucher, effective as of June 2024. I explained that there is no expiration date on the voucher and part of my decision to purchase from them was because the car wash was included with the price I paid. I said that I wonât be coming back if they donât honor their prior commitments (voucher). She said that is fine and that they expected to lose business due the policy change. I said that I was planning to bring another car in next week for an emission test, but will now go elsewhere. She said that she didnât care and wasnât go to lose her job by honoring a car wash voucher! Her unsympathetic attitude and lack of understanding reflected poorly on this business.
I find it extremely odd and disappointing that a company would choose not to honor their prior commitment, especially from a loyal customer who has patronized them for the past 16-years with multiple vehicles per year. Integrity is the backbone of a successful business. Needless to say, I will do my...
