Everything about life was good with this park...my sons' 20th birthday and we wanted to sit and picnic. He find this one near us and we ended up here. We play family games together that get us out of doors, and this was filled with markers!! No bathroom available so he left me working on the game...
Less than a week later, I met Ian and we sweet here and told stories and watched people. Such a beautiful and peculiar man and he made the park come alive with the stories. They are everywhere in this historic park!
Now, more than two years have passed. I returned to the park alone today to sit with my memories of him. There on the bench where we sat more than two years ago, were small roses someone had picked. There is magic in this park, an energy filled with memories. Somehow the park knew I was coming. The cold wasn't just the winter on the horizon tonight. Only two people strolled through walking their dogs. A group of teens arrived to dine at the restaurant at the edge of the park. Even in the silence and the chill in the air, you can imagine those who have frequented the park. Families and children playing and laughing are in the surface of the imagination for this place regardless...

One prominent aspect of the park is a sculpture that emphasizes polygamy, a historical element I do not agree should be celebrated. While history is history, this is not something that supporters of this religious sect should take pride in.
Moreover, the park's maintenance could be improved. During our brief visit, we noticed that locals often use the park as a convenient spot to eat their lunch in their cars, enjoying the shade provided by the beautiful, lush trees, which indeed create a relaxing atmosphere.
