I wish I had nicer things to say about this place. It used to be a go to for rehab projects that had a great selection reasonably priced. No more.
They still have some nice high end vanities but nothing I could really use. Same thing with vessel sinks and I believe both come from Signature Hardware. Good stuff. Their standard faucets were overpriced considering it's kind of a gamble getting a $100 off brand faucet. They have thin set and grout but it is just about what you'd pay at a big box store for stuff that has been there for quite a while. Their vinyl planks were $2 a square foot which is 15% or 20% less than big box stores but really not worth the limited selection. Their accent tile is about the same as Floor and Decor would have with 20 times the selection.
Years ago I had purchased an infloor heat kit for a bathroom rehab I am doing another one and and was looking for a thermostat. Not only did they still have thermostats but they had the very same store return thermostats in distressed packaging (dated 2009-2011) I had looked at years ago. They were still $50 each and they had 9 of them. It is safe to say they haven't sold one in close to 10 years. More recent new old stock from the same manufacturer is $40 on Ebay.
Outside in the yard they had hundreds of crates of tile with no prices posted. I was about done by that point and it didn't seem worth the trouble of asking how much any of it was.
As a side note I was in the back room where the kitchen cabinets are and was busted by a boy of about 10 whe trying to take a peek at something covered by a tarp. He told me there was another one aisle over and sarcastically reminded me it was covered by a tarp for a reason. Nothing like being talked down to by a prepubescent 5th grader. I wonder where he learned that from.
In short unless you want to roll the dice looking for a cheap Signature Hardware vanity it really isn't worth the trip. It has more or less devolved into a down market Home Depot serving the locals whose purpose is to hopefully save them a trip to Florence if all they need is a...
Read moreMe changing this 1 star review to a 4 or 5 star review all depends on whether or not the dry ridge reuse center makes something right. My grandparents just went down to you guys for the first time to buy a pallet of hardwood floor. The lady who helped them ensured my grandparents that her and other reuse center employees put the pallet together so she knows for sure that there are hardly any damaged pieces. So they forked out $300 for the pallet only to find when they got home that almost every piece was damaged. They feel lied to and cheated out of their money. I think the lady assumed the hardwood was fine and said what she had to in order to make the sale. My grandparents are reall great people and do not have money to just throw away. I hope i get a message from someone soon. I will repost this review over and over on every site that has anything to do with the reuse center. Hope we can work this out and continue doing...
Read moreI have driven from Taylor Mill, Ky down to this center just because they are kind, helpful, accommodating, compassionate and willing to do all that they can. We are working on a house for a business friend of my husband. If Dry Ridge Reuse Center does not have it, they are helpful in finding it. Bill, Michelle, and Troy have helped me directly and I am so thankful for all they have done. They carry a great amount of inventory, so before you begin your big projects, give them a Look-See. Definitely worth the drive! I love the scriptures on the wall as you enter. They run their business in a Christlike manner. Thank you Dry Ridge...
