Had a wonderful experience at the Pier 1 Imports, found beautiful gifts for the holidays! Not so pleased with my visit to Hy-Vee grocery store. Arrived there at 8:15, wanted to eat at their buffet then do my shopping. Sadly the buffet and deli were closed despite the signs saying open until 9 pm. Spoke with a very nice manager that packaged the items I needed from the deli department. I asked why the deli & buffet we're closed? hYvEE steals hundreds of dollars worth of beverage deposits DAILY here refusing to give back your money after drinking your purchase on the premises.... I live across the street and they force disabled people like me to get their money back miles away ....redemption center law ONLY applies to small retailers and tiny towns with REAL REDEMPTION centers ....so I go to COUNTRY MARKET for my beverages .... this is a good law 44 years strong hYvEE only violates this law in SOME Iowa...

Hy-vee is very nice, there machines weren't working the best to check out, I swiped my card 3 different times, it said approved but it didn't take it for some reason, so they just let me have it, I can now make my hot salsa and eat chips and salsa and drink my maple root beer, THANK YOU its my favorite Hy-vee in Dubuque, they sell my favorite pop Bottled Faygo, its not there all the time, its a hit or miss kinda...
