Perkins Restaurant has become a delightful go-to spot for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and my recent visit solidified why it’s adored by many. From the moment I walked in, I was enveloped by a warm, inviting ambiance that set the stage for an enjoyable dining experience.
Let’s start with the pancakes, which are nothing short of sensational. They were exquisitely fluffy, delightfully light, and wonderfully sweet, served piping hot and perfectly golden-brown. Each bite was a mouthwatering explosion of flavor — light as air, soft, and absolutely delectable. The rich buttery taste paired beautifully with a drizzle of maple syrup, enhancing their already superb flavor. Whether enjoyed plain, or topped with berries, whipped cream, or chocolate chips, these pancakes are a breakfast lover's dream come true.
Now, onto the star of the menu — the new pot roast burger with onion tanglers. This dish is a groundbreaking combination of flavors and textures. The patty was tender, juicy, and packed with savory goodness, while the unique onion tanglers added a spectacular crunch that complemented the richness of the pot roast perfectly. The burger was generously sized, satisfying, and utterly delicious. Each element harmonized beautifully; every bite was a wonderful assembly of flavors, leaving me longing
The service at Perkins was attentive, friendly, and efficient. Our server greeted us with a genuine smile and promptly took our orders. She was knowledgeable about the menu and offered fantastic recommendations, ensuring we had everything we needed for an enjoyable meal. Throughout our visit, she checked in on us regularly, making sure our drinks were full and that we were satisfied with our meals. The staff clearly took pride in what they do
The restaurant's ambiance is cozy and inviting, with comfortable seating and warm lighting. It felt like the perfect location for a casual family meal or a relaxed brunch with friends. The decor is charming, featuring an array of nostalgic touches that create a welcoming atmosphere. Background music played softly, setting a pleasant tone without being intrusive, allowing conversation to flow easily.
Lastly, I cannot overlook the bakery case filled with tempting treats. The sight of fresh pies, pastries, and muffins was enough to make anyone’s mouth water. Each item looked scrumptious and perfectly crafted, promising to deliver delightful desserts after our savory meal. I couldn’t resist trying a slice of their famous pie, which was wonderfully rich and satisfying — a true testament to their bakery prowess.
In conclusion, Perkins Restaurant delivered an extraordinary dining experience. The pancakes were outstanding, the pot roast burger was a culinary marvel, and the service was impeccable. With a cozy ambiance and a tempting bakery case, Perkins is not just a place to eat; it’s a place to enjoy and savor every moment. Highly...
Read moreWorst food service I've ever experienced. Once we were seated, we sat for a half hour and no one came by to ask for our order. The people behind us ended up going to find someone to wait on us since they were also waiting for service. Once we finally had someone, she was basically throwing everyone else under the bus. "She was on break, no one said she had people waiting, blah blah." She treated us like WE were the inconvenience. I ordered my food and she point blank said this. "You ordered what? No one ever orders that. What does that come with?" She made it sound like it was gross. She later stated that she had been working there for three years. A new person might not know what's on the menu, but a person of three years employment is ridiculous. Once we got our food, the food was ok. She never came back to see how the food was. Another worker was seating someone else and they complained about the table being dirty and so they moved themselves. The dude constantly mumbled curse words under his breath. The whole crew did when they passed by. VERY unprofessional. Very discouraging, very disappointing. At the end, I asked for a take home box and that took another 20 minutes to get. It felt like no one wanted to work that day and no one put any effort into making our experience special. We felt unwanted and unwelcomed. We hope that we'll find a different Perkins in a different town for a better experience but we are staying clear of this...
Read more1-5-24 We stopped in around 11:30am, 2 adults 3 kids, everything started off well. My kids ordered lemonade, there was only enough for 2 and it had to get changed out, so my oldest daughter had to wait. Our food came out quick enough for us. As we are eating sitting about 20 feet from the back room/kitchen entrance, we heard staff arguing about tables, one younger girl visibly flustered came out mumbling to just shut up. From here it just went down hill. Idk if our table was the one being argued about but we recieved no future service. My daughters drink was never brought out nor a substitution offered and everyone elses drinks were never refilled once. Our server Barbara forgot our kids cookies. We waited about 5 minutes after everyone was done eating for a server to come check for boxes or give us a bill, I took my son to the bathroom and came back out and waited another 5 minutes and eventually had to go up to the cashier ask for the cookies a box and for our bill so we could leave. I left no tip, I was probably charged for the lemonade we never recieved but at this point we were just ready to leave I didn't care to check the reciept. I think Perkins needs to make a better effort to ensure all there guest are taken care of in a timely matter and maybe this location needs to work out there crews to avoid fights and future conflicts. I understand stuff like this happens but we will probably look for other dine in options...
