EZ GG! this is NOT a shill review! Amazing/Efficient/Super Easy - Beverly made this so painless. I was able to get the unit I wanted, and I was in and out with paperwork being a BREEZE. Total time of paperwork was ONE HOUR, maybe less than that. I will update this review after settling in (maybe a month) to address some of the issues I read about in other reviews since I can't write about what I haven't experienced yet. I went by a few times to see the model unit and the actual units are better or exactly like the website show. Notes on Crest, etc. other places: I also went by Crest at Berkeley, Promenade at Berkeley, District, and a few others. For the price, Heights has the best value. I originally intended to move into Crest at Berkeley. My friends who moved there (since they know I research thoroughly first) were dismayed to find they were bamboozled into a bait and switch, it's really a shame how they were tricked into an older unit with defective appliances. The washer and the dryer AND the dishwasher all broke and they are STILL waiting on the appliances to be repaired/replaced, 3 months after both of them complaining and even me asking for an intervention. Otherwise I would have moved to Crest. Don't be fooled. I went to District and they are pretty units but about $200-800 more per the same space. That's a jump, location wise it's not as good either. Heights is Airy and open and Bright and light stone while District is dark and industrial and dark brick. It's hard to get in and out of and parking is tighter too. For reference, when in Midtown, I was at the same cost for better units, aka overpriced. Promenade is cute and maybe good for starter style apartments, but each entryway smells like garbage...it's a nice service but that's not for me. The ceilings are lower too unless you get a top level unit. I originally looked into apartments for Google Fiber. I did end up with ATT Fiber, so it's not terrible as far as I know. I'm consistently getting 900+ and about 300+ for wireless connections.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I finished the application for the apartment over 2 weeks prior to moving in. They told me the keys would be ready by 11:30 AM. I went there around 1:30 and my apartment still wasn’t ready. I moved in the following day and I moved in with no washer and dryer. How can a place to be ready to move in without a washer and dryer and a bathtub with bugs? The apartment was absolutely disgusting when I moved in. Getting a hold of the management is nearly impossible. There’s usually only one person available to help you when you go into the leasing office. Packages are being stolen and there’s no cameras from where you pick up packages. 2 days of moving in my AC broke and they came to “fix it” and it broke again the a couple hours later. The maintenance people are in my apartment for over an hour still not knowing what’s going on with the issue. There’s not one single light in the living room area. When I asked the office if there was any lights in the living room they said there’s one cap that you can take off and put your own fan/light… Absolutely ridiculous. Would not recommend moving here. Don’t waste your time!!!

I’ve only lived here for 3 months and I should have listened to all the bad reviews. If you’re wondering why they’re offering a month and a half off of rent it’s because this property is just a pig with lipstick on. It may look a little better, but it’s still just a pig. Negatives: The leasing office doesn’t ever pickup the phone. Residents let their pets use the bathroom in the hallways despite the hallways being considered as an inside area. The leasing office doesn’t do anything about dog feces in the hallway for days. The leasing office doesn’t do anything about bad residents because they’re scared to lose anymore business. Complaints get solved with a “email blast” to all residents that no one reads (I’ve seen a few empty threats for trash and pet waste). Every appliance has a slight quirk to it, where it doesn’t work as intended. Positives: The maintenance staff is very nice. If you want to live here, give it a few weeks for 2 months to be free and the prices to drop even further because it’s on a fast track to failure.

READ BEFORE CONSIDERING THIS COMPLEX. When we first moved into this complex in January 2021, I would have given it a 5 star review. Then the property was sold again and again and again. The quality immediately went down with each sale until my husband and I became desperate to leave towards the end. At $2600 a month (after all the fees they tack on to the rent) we felt ripped off.

Circuit breakers never work properly and the “fixes” were never done correctly. As others have mentioned there’s dog crap and piss constantly in the walk ways and elevator. The elevator went down with a strong breeze as did the power.

Hope you aren’t sound sensitive because if the power is out the emergency alarms are on! They don’t have the ability to turn it off either, so we had to muffle the alarms after the fifth power outage last summer. When the hurricane storms came through, our power went out and the alarms weren’t turned off until the fire department could get there. 40 minutes of constant, loud alarms from every building was enough for us to consider a hotel for the night.

Don’t count on the pool being opened either! If someone wasn’t dropping glass or pooping in it, they were have large parties that took over the pool area. If you tried to keep your spot at the pool, an argument was more than likely going to happen.

Check police reports before moving in too! My car, along with numerous others, were broken into. These were fairly common. There were also enough shootings in the complex that we had anxiety about every large popping sound outside.

Got a leak? That’s your problem because the part wasn’t going to be ordered and eventually you will just be ignored. Speaking of being ignored, good luck getting anyone to answer a phone!

You’ll be charged for the parcel lockers, but they’re only used some of the time. Even though they say they have cameras in the mail room, we had so many get stolen. Whenever we reported it to the officer there was “nothing they could do.”

Asset Living doesn’t care about the quality of life or conditions at their properties. They use an AI algorithm to raise rent prices and have piss poor customer service.

When you move out, they’ll keep your deposit and charge you for damages. Fine, we have cats. We deep cleaned but nope. Not enough. The alarm panel we never set up, used, or touched? Apparently it’s got $250 worth in damages. Doesn’t matter if you have recent photos of it looking undamaged. They “cannot remove the charge” and will “be sending it to collections.”

Choke on a large one,...

This Apt has been the worst place I've lived my whole life. They made us pay $166.90 because we paid our rent 10 minutes late, even when they never do their work. Any problems you have, You'll need to go to their online portal, which they never respond to, and they will never fix your problems. This whole place seems to have some problem with electricity, We had the whole Apt black out twice already. and I've lived here less than a year... usually it takes them a little less than a day to get everything back to system. Also they have what I call a little blackouts (about a second) many times so if you are a student or you work with computers, planning to live here, you'll need to save your work when you can. I lived here starting last April and am still facing problems with the Circuit breaker. Even if we don't use much electricity most of the switches break down every morning and it is impossible to live normally when you have to switch up switches every time you use your household appliances and sometimes wait when you can't turn them on. We requested maintenance help countless amount of times, shown up three times, and it is still not fixed. (the 1st guy told me he lives here and he said he had the same problem and left not even trying to fix it. the other two staffs were nice and tried but it is still not fixed) They'll say this place will have no noise between floors but you'll be hearing your neighbor's footsteps above your heads and sometimes their brawl and children sobbing from the sides. Not just your neighbor you will hear the trains hooting in your bed times will get you up and going at 4am. (we had concerns about the train noise before we moved in because the train tracks are by the place and asked if they ever had problems with it before and they said they have never heard compliance. Hmm, now they have) How much you pay for pest control is not worth it, you'll see bugs all over this place. (We had a problem with ants last summer and requested for help 3 times in person but the third time I went the lady told me I had to request it online and I did twice and Never heard back from them ever since. The spray Raid does the job done really well, you can get them from Walmart.) Overall, not a very safe neighborhood but Building 1 main gate is always broken. They name themselves "Luxury" Apartment. It means that they are the Luxury and us residents are just some tiresome customers. I have much more to say but it is all listed on other reviews, so please read over all reviews...

I’ve lived here for almost two years, and it was a decent experience in the beginning. Initially I lived in a 1bd/1b but needed to upgrade to a 2bd/2b. The management team they had when I moved in was awesome. Anytime we had an issue it was resolved quickly. They’ve since changed management and the new team is just awful! We paid a deposit to move into our new space in February, we didn’t move into that space until mid April. The new apartment was rushed together and you could tell. The window shutters were broken, the towel racks were broken, the ceiling fan in our master bedroom was broken, and I had a leak that sent my bill through the roof, and I actually still have this problem. I had to record a 14 minute video to prove that I did INDEED have a leak in one of our bathrooms. Which they claimed to had fixed initially. The breaker box in the apartment was broken. My power would just randomly shut off and it took them a few weeks to fix this issue. Initially they told me to “just switch it back on” which was so unprofessional. After complaining so much they finally came out to fix it. My monthly bill has increased almost $100 over the past few months and they refuse to do anything about it! I’ve been calling about pest control (which is billed into your monthly statement) for 5 months. Everytime I call they put me on this “magical list” of tenants that need it but they never show up! I recently received an email about curtains I had installed on my patio, stating that I was breaking policy and needed to remove them or I would be fined 25/day. Their reason is because they need to keep up curbside appeal. My problem isn’t about having to remove the curtains. But because of all the other issues they conveniently overlook but have the nerve to email tenants about their curbside appeal. They don’t clean they hallways, and they smell all the time. The light fixtures are filled with bugs and the walls have visible webs on them. They don’t actually provide any of the services they say they do when promoting the apartments; and that’s been a thing even before COVID. I wish I could rate them 0/0. They are the absolute worst! The management team is horrible. They’re rude and can care less to resolve issues. When voicing your concerns and problems with you unit you can tell that they are a bit annoyed with the conversation. I truly dislike having to deal with any of them. But...
