The only reason I'm giving this place 3 stars is because of STEPHANIE & THANK GOD for her this morning ! My boyfriend and I thought it'd be fantastic to try this location out because it's new even though we pass like 4 other ones on the way. We were gritting our teeth by the end of our visit. I work in retail , so I definitely look for great custom service every where I go since I am obligated to do the same when I work. I'm all for having a good time , positive energy, & being able to joke and laugh at work . It helps get through the shift quicker . We came in weren't greeted by any staff..fine , but when your actual greeter rushes past without even saying anything ..that's strike one for me. We sat at the bar and Stephanie greeted us right away . She was very attentive to us , never had to ask for anything even a refill, and pleasant conversations . Besides us, there were plenty of parties next to us who were also discussing the atmosphere. First off , I don't understand how WAFFLE House waffle irons can be malfunctioning. All the irons were sticking and several burnt waffles were the result. We were told "no more light waffles" and when suggesting using non stick spray we were told they didn't need that ... because continuing to make burnt waffles is turning out so well . A few members of the staff were just over the top. I couldn't even hear my boyfriend right next to me at the bar over them. Like I said , I'm all for fun at work but know how to tone it down when customers are there. Y'all literally work right in front of people , the hollering , play fighting , and quick attitudes are not something customers want to see when they eat . Yelling and getting attitudes with your coworkers because they're over how crazy y'all are acting is unnecessary when YOURE the problem. And then we thought when Juan (could be wrong name) who we thought was the manager came in that we would see a difference , but no managerial actions at all besides checking things off a list. Clean environment for the most part , food was good (we were able to get lighter waffles) ..just tone the craziness down , especially when you're in an area that's used to better. Thank you Stephanie ! You were definitely appreciated today , 5...
Read moreI usually review places after visiting few times. I was there yesterday with my kid, had a nice time having meal. It was past 2 in the afternoon so there wasn't really rush. Lady took care of us very well, asked multiple times if we need anything and how was food. I really had pleasant experience. I decided to go today for breakfast. Well, it was noon but still it was packed. I decided to carry out a waffle for my daughter. I ordered and paid and stood with my daughter next to checkout. Usually a waffle takes about 3-4 minutes, but 15 minutes past, I was still standing there. Guy waiting tables and another lady behind the bar asked me multiple times if I was helped. I responded that I am waiting for my order of a waffle. Finally, I asked a lady that how long it takes for a waffle. Then everybody turned around asking each other for that order. The lady who took order realized and said yes it's ready. And it turned out, the waffle was ready a while ago sitting on counter in a dine in plate waiting for someone to put it in a to go box. I was so disappointed that even I saw it there for a while thinking it's somebody's order and knew it would be stiff cold by now (it really was, I had to throw it out!), I didn't feel like asking her to at least make me a fresh one. She just didn't care to even ask me if this waffle is good. So I see its worth to try a place at least couple of times before people take our experiences into consideration. They might be good at what they're doing but certainly not for...
Read moreI came here a couple days ago to place a to - go order and I’m usually not the one for stepping inside a restaurant like this in the morning because I’m already knowing it be complete chaos. However I stay in the apartments right next to this place and didn’t feel like cooking so I definitely called up there to see if I could place my order over the phone nobody picked up so I walked to the restaurant. Keep in mind I have both of my toddlers with me in a wagon that was pretty large and noticeable but it’s easy to navigate with both of them with me. I stay in the restaurant for over 20 minutes just for no one to ask me if I needed my order taken or anything. I was very frustrated plus I was dealing with two busy bodies. I literally walked out … and went home and cooked myself and my babies some waffles. The staff was rude too ! Maybe they were over whelmed but thats still not how you treat people I would’ve respected the establishment as whole better if someone at least said to me I’ll get with you in a minute or 2 ….. they just ignored me as I was standing at the front counter waiting to be serviced… now there is a older white woman in there who is sooo nice and efficient I love when she works my food is always hot and ready on time. I’ll only be stepping in there when I see her everyone else there needs to...
