Massage Envy — Local services in Duluth

My fiance had signed up for the membership and she talked me into going up to this location for a massage since my back was hurting. They pushed for me to sign up for the monthly membership and told me that since we lived together I would pay a lower price per month. I was charged $10 higher than the price on my agreement and I have brought it up 5 times with no refund. Also I was told by the woman selling me on the membership idea that I could cancel at any time, all I had to do was put in a cancellation request in writing 30 days ahead of time. So I joined, and at some point they stopped charging me, and I was definitely enjoying the extra $$ in my account so I didn't say anything, and just didn't go there for a massage. My fiance called to see what had happened and they told her my card got rejected (it's a Wachovia check card and it can't get rejected, I would just get an overdraft fee, let alone the fact that I had more than enough $$ in my account to cover the charge). They said once it got rejected, that the membership was terminated, so I was happy until my card got charged for 3 months at once. I called the location and asked to speak with the manager and he stated that the account was not canceled and that I was on a year long contract, regardless of what the front desk lady told me. He said if I didn't pay that it would go into collections and then they would take me to court, even though I was told I could cancel at any time. He still has not refunded my $10 so we started going to a different location. While Massage Envy is still getting my $$ against my will, I will stay away from this location because they lie to get you to sign up and then you're locked...

Horrible!! Do not come here the customer service is terrible! I called last night Wednesday 12/8 at 9:00pm To make an appointment for today Thursday 12/9. The girl I spoke with seem to have an attitude but I didn’t think anything of it we made my appointment for Thursday at 4:30 I would be getting a 60 minute facial and a 30 minute specialty massage. Prior to us disconnecting a call she confirmed the date and time my appointment would be and also went over the cancellation policy with me, she recommended if I was going to cancel because I made the appointment late at night that I should call first thing in the morning to cancel. I had no reason to cancel as I was looking forward to my appointment. I arrived promptly at 4:15 to my appointment and was told by the front desk girl she had no record of me in her system. Upon further investigation she stated my appointment was for tomorrow Friday 12/10. I explain to her this was not possible as me and the representative I made the appointment with never discussed a Friday appointment. The front desk girl also went on to explain that there would not be anyone in tomorrow Friday to do my facial. How do you improperly schedule someone but also improperly schedule them for our service you do not offer on the day that you schedule them for??? The front desk girl did not seem to care that I was inconvenience. There was no apology, she did not try to rectify the situation or even sympathize with me she simply stared back at me and said what do you want to do.
