Edit: I just ate my $28.00 fish only and was even more disappointed. It was overcooked and I couldn’t eat most of it. I HIGHLY ”DO NOT” RECOMMEND!
My order of Red Snapper today was a deeply disappointing experience. I should have taken heed to previous reviews regarding portion size and high prices. If it’s worth it. I’ll gladly pay, however, the $28.00 price tag was already steep for just the fish, with no accompanying side. When I inquired about sides, I was informed that a small portion of jollof rice would cost an additional $10.00. This pricing structure, frankly, explains the restaurant's lack of customers. To add insult to injury, the $28.00 piece of red snapper I actually received was shockingly small. This was a stark contrast to a previous dine-in experience where the fish portion was significantly larger. My subsequent complaint call yielded nothing more than a perfunctory apology. Read moreThis place is incredible!! Highly recommend it to anyone. My boyfriend and I tried this place for the first time and I was blown away by it. The service was wonderful, the atmosphere is so cute, and the food is phenomenal. It was my boyfriend’s first time having any kind of African food and he loved it. We got the red stew with rice and goat, egusi soup, plantains, and pounded yam. I was personally blown away by how flavorful and spicy the stew was (I love all things spicy!). My boyfriend was a big fan of the egusi soup. I would recommend this to anyone looking to try something new as the staff is very kind and answers any questions you may have. This tasted pretty authentic to food I had eaten in various parts of Africa so if you’re looking for an authentic experience, this place is perfect for...
Read moreI was visiting from out of town and was looking for a Nigerian restaurant. Wasn't sure what to expect when this popped up on Google but I ended up being pleasantly surprised. The ambience is really nice. I went on a Friday and they had a DJ doing his thing- seems it converts into a lounge after 11pm. But let's talk about the food- it was amazing. We ordered edikaikong and oha soup and I'm still reliving the deliciousness as I write this review. I also ordered ayamase to go and let me tell you ehn, the thing was on point. Cherry on top was that their service was good, unlike some Nigerian restaurants where they serve you like they were your enemy from a past life and they recognize your face. I went back the next day to order food to freeze to take back home. Really great place, I hope...
