Atlanta’s Hidden Gem: A Must-Visit Korean Café for ARMYs! 🇰🇷☕🥐

Saw this shop and wanted to try something new. The shop was sparse with two seated customers. I assume this is and Asian-owned shop by the decor and employees. The taller, heavy-set female Asian employee assisted me. They don't have gluten-free options outside of macaroons. Not a fan of macaroons in the US after eating them in France. Anyway, she answered all of my questions, then I decided on the strawberry croissant (I told her I would take my enzymes to help with the gluten reaction. ) as she bagged the croissant, I asked if they made strawberry cake. If I'm going to risk get sick from eating gluten, might as well be with something I really want. She confirmed and I changed my order to the strawberry cake. That is when she showed her irritation. She rang up the order. I paid and she literally turned her back to me as if I was not there. If it wasn't for the shorter employee walking out and speaking to me, I would have told her she can refund me and keep her cake. The other reviews are accurate about poor service. It only takes one employee. As for the cake, I took two bites and it is average. Nothing to write a review on.

I absolutely love Sunflour Bakery! I woke up thinking about three this morning and since it’s 7am I have to wait a little longer, so I thought I’d write them a review instead. First of all, their version of a Frappuccino is literal liquid gold. It’s the best frozen coffee thing I’ve had since I was a teenager living in Illinois. The mint chocolate frappe is stellar. Now, the bakery. Ummm…. Best BROWNIE in the city. Last time I went in there I got their stuffed croissant, absolutely delicious. I’ve had their tiramisu, which was so light and delicious you’ll want 7 more. I got the chocolate ganache cheesecake last weekend and it was just as incredible. This week I want to try a few different things (I’m literally heading in there asap) and you should too. I’ve had wonderful service everytime I’ve gone in. As a matter of fact, last time I was in the (maybe owner?) let me try the sweet potato cake for free. I don’t expect this ever and will never expect it again but what a simple and nice gesture. I’ll always hype up this Lawrenceville gem. Go check them out!

This place is right by my work and I was so excited to finally try them but the one woman who worked on 7/11/22 was terrible, honestly. She lacked any customer service and constantly attempted to help the 3 guests who came in after me. I asked her a question about the items in the cooler and she responded with, “can i just help the girl behind you first?” I couldnt believe my ears. The girl behind me had specifically suggested that I go before her since I was in the store first, waiting for service. I was going to spend a lot of money here and for whatever reason, this lady was so rude that I couldn’t justify spending my money there. Also, we were in a rush so a 5 minute stop-by became a 15 minute trip where I left unhappy and unsatisfied. She was the only woman in the store but she didn’t ask if we had any questions, we had to say hi first, she was rushing me, etc. She asked me to wait just to offer me an item that I didn’t even order in exchange for the terrible service. Not a fair trade. Lastly, as I’m walking out and telling this lady why I’m leaving and how I wanted to spend upwards of $80 there, she told me to come back on a week day after three. It was 5pm on a Monday. I’ll never go back. I’d rather soend my money somewhere else like Hansel and Gretel Bakery 5 mins down the road. Same thing but with decent customer...

I came to this café today to do some work and have some treats. I tried the Korean Coffe, a chocolate croissant, a sparkling lemon mint drink, and a sparkling grapefruit drink. All of the drinks I had were absolutely delicious. The coffee was a perfect balance of flavors with a little bit of milk and just enough sugar to be sweet without loosing any flavor in the delicious coffee. The sparkling drinks were very refreshing with the lemon mint flavor coming through exceptionally well though the grapefruit flavor was a little weak and slightly too sweet. The only reason for the lower rating is the croissant which while tasting delicious, it had the texture of being a few days old. It was not crispy and flaky, it was instead dense and almost solid. I came in and ordered the croissant at 9:30 in the morning, so I was hopeful it would be fresh, but unfortunately it was not. The ambiance and the workers were so great though. They were so nice when taking my order multiple times and very accommodating when I asked if I could sit around and work for a few hours, they even told me where to sit for an outlet if I needed it. Overall, I would definitely come back for the drinks, but maybe not so...

The location is nice and the ambience is all that it should be. There were so many delicious looking treats that it was hard to choose what to buy. The female at the counter did not greet us when we initially came in but she seemed to be busy cleaning something. It's really not a good excuse, however. Her customer service did not really improve after that. I started to leave because she seemed impatient and rude. I did not get her name but she was Asian and had long black hair that was pulled back into a ponytail. This establishment's saving grace was the lady who was in the back working when we entered. Once she finished her task in the back she came to the front with all smiles, cheer, and a happy demeanor. She was helpful and accommodating, unlike her peer.

Some other black people came in much later than us, and the first female assumed we were together. I'm not sure why...it was weird and cringeworthy.

We ordered quite a few desserts and they were fresh, light, and easy on the sugar. That's the main thing that sticks out for me, the sugar content was never overpowering. All items had a hint of sweetness but it was a good...
