My aunt and I drove from south of Atlanta to shop the prom dresses. I had seen a few bad reviews here but thought "hey they seem to have many cute and affordable prom dresses online so let's give them a try and see if they are better than the others said!" I also know shopping for a prom dress in a beauty supply store isn't desirable. HOWEVER I decided to give it a try ready to make a purchase with an at least 700 dollar budget. My aunt and I arrived at about 7:50 and they close at 8:30. Granted that isn't a lot of time BUT first I spent time locating the correct worker to help in that department as the first lady said "ask the other lady cause I don't know," and hurried off. Then I finally found a lady and asked about the plus size gowns and how the gowns were sorted overall. She explained that the mermaid gowns were sorted by size but the ballgowns were all mixed in. We said we wanted ballgowns and had actually shown her a couple on the mannequins that I was very interested in. So we searched through many average size dresses to FINALLY LOCATE my size in a dress I liked only to have her tell us at 8:06 they are almost closed and have to shut down registers at 8:15 (and do what for the last 15 minutes???) And that ultimatley it was too late for me to try on THE ONE DRESS WE FOUND after SHE HELPED US locate a dress and told us the size of the unmarked dress that I liked. And for me to decide what dress I want then come back as though I had not been very specific about the type of dress I was interested in. Anyway, isn't the point to actually TRY ON dresses to see if you like how they FIT ON YOU and like the style color etc on your skin? So she says come back and my aunt then says no we came from over an hour away. She says Oh! Not well let me see if I can talk to a manager etc. So my aunt says we won't be back! Meanwhile there is another girl being helped and trying on multiple dresses. So why wasn't it too late for her? Anyway for the cost of the dresses there, go to Cinderella's Gowns, Bravura, or Back by Popular Demand also known as Atlanta Prom on Consignment. I have had great experiences at each of those stores and I found a great dress for my 2nd prom I have to attend this year at Atlanta Prom and who kept the store open after hours for me to try on dresses and make a decision to purchase or not. I went here in hopes of finding a great dress for my Senior Prom but it was a fail due to selective customer service. At those other stores, you will have a MUCH BETTER experience and spend the same amount of money or maybe even less! Many of the dresses that we liked were well over 400 dollars at So Good. To management: please be more accommodating and treat this like a place that sells gowns and not just beauty supply items! HIGHLY...
Read moreThe customer service that this company offers is below one star. Between the lack of communication, service, and misinformation this company needs to make serious improvements. I placed an online order on Saturday and received no confirmation. I called the phone number provided by google on Sunday and as soon as I said "online" they cut me off and gave me what is supposed to be the phone number to their online order customer support number. I called the number twice and no one answer and the third time someone picked up and did not say anything. I called the store back and told them that no one is responding and they said "oh the online support is no open on weekends" I said okay I will call tomorrow(Monday). I called Monday.....three times and all three times someone picked up and didn't say anything. So again I called the store. then the owner I assume told me that he can't help me and there is nothing he can do as he knows nothing about online orders and they will send it when they send it. So a simple phone call from me wanting to know the status of my order quickly turned into just refund me my money because the customer service I could not continue with. I then asked the guy who I had on the phone from the Duluth location if there is a general customer support number or a manager that I can speak with because at this point I am getting the run around on my order. He says no that is the only number he knows and told me to "just keep calling". At this point I was fed up. This is the worst customer service experience I have ever been through and the lack of followup they have on orders and customer concerns in general definitely makes me not want to ever purchase from them again.
After trying the online order number AGAIN I decided to email them on the email provided on the website to basically tell them to cancel my order. Their response was to read their terms and conditions and 'orders can't be cancelled' when in fact when speaking to both the store representatives they gave to the phone number to CANCEL and I confirmed with the manager at the Duluth location that I can cancel my on line order and he said YES. So I politely respond to the email and let them know that this was what was communicated with me and I will be processing a refund through my bank because it does NOT state in the terms and conditions that I can not cancel my order. It states that you have 48 hrs after you placed your order cancelling is not allowed which does not apply to me at the time.
Who ever runs this place needs to take some basic business management or customer service courses at the least because the left hand obviously doesn't know what they right hand is doing and I am sure this is not the first time this...
Read moreSo Good, you really saved my bacon today! After ordering a homecoming dress online that really did not work for my daughter, we found ourselves with less than a week until the dance and no dress to wear!
We live up in Gainesville, but there aren't a lot of options as far as formal dress shops. I did a quick search on the internet and discovered So Good in Gwinnett. I thought I would start here and then head back to the Mall of Georgia-area if we didn't find anything we liked. Turns out everything we needed was right there. It took us about 40 minutes to drive down but it was absolutely worth it!
There is an exciting array of formal dresses at So Good. If teen girls want anything when it comes to a formal dress, it's options! I heard more than one person walk in saying they weren't even sure where to start there's so much.
Whatever your style is - simple, sparkly, Hollywood glamour, 90's vintage, fairy princess, homecoming queen, cool, classy, modest or revealing, colorful of basic black, you seriously will find a dress to love here.
From the shorter dresses that are more casual and perfect for homecoming, to wedding gowns, prom and pageant attire and quinceanera dresses, there was so much to explore! My daughter, who is not a girly-girl, walked in and gasped when she saw all the beautiful dresses. The selection (and sequins) are quite dazzling.
We worked our way to the back where the homecoming dresses are located, and went through the racks to find some favorites. The pricing is fair for all these gowns, there is also a discount section and even a rack of $15 dresses - how cool is that!
Staff were helpful, getting dresses down from the walls for us if they were out of reach, and, after she selected some options, they were very sweet to get us into one of the large dressing rooms with big full length mirrors. An employee assisted my daughter with the zippers and hooks as needed and in the end, she found a dress that is perfect for her "fantasy garden" themed homecoming dance. The pandemic has robbed our kids of a lot of their high school experience, so I was really thrilled that she found something that made her feel so happy.
The store also has all the accessories you might need to finish off your look. There are fancy shoes, all sorts of costume jewelry, hair accessories, even gloves if you are going full-debutante ball. My daughter was able to buy coordinating press-on nails, 3 for $5 earrings, a beautiful jeweled headband and even a pink bandana for spirit week, you know, because "On Wednesdays, we wear pink?" all at this one location!
So, thank you so much So Good for making this frantic dress buying trip a success! We will see you again in the spring for...
