Chicken is the star of the show here. From a variety of noodle soups to rice dishes, there was a lot to choose from the extensive menu.
We arrived at the restaurant around 12:30PM on a Sunday and somehow beat the lunch rush. There was plenty of seating but they filled up quickly around 1:00PM. The service was quick and our food came out less than 10 minutes after ordering. We can see how staffing can be an issue once the place gets busy. You just have to flag down someone and they will gladly help.
The Chicken Rice dish (Com Ga) is the most popular entree. The rice was flavorful. We got the white meat chicken and it was good-- not fatty yet still juicy. The menu explicitly says that the chicken is served cold, although it would have been nice warm. The ginger dipping sauce was good (on the sweeter side). The pickled vegetables added a refreshing acidic balance to the meal.
The Pho Ga and Hu Tieu Ga (rice noodle soup) only have one portion size. The bowls were packed with noodles and there was a good amount of chicken. We got a combination of dark and white meat for both bowls and they both tasted good. The broth was a little more on the sweeter side but squeezing some lime helped cut through the sweetness. Make sure to order the pickled peppers for the Hu Tieu Ga. You can also request for the bean sprouts to be blanched so that your soup can remain piping hot. The noodle dishes also came with complimentary ginger dipping sauce on the side.
Overall, we would visit this place again. There were so many things to try. Will have to try the chicken congee and bun mang (bamboo shoot noodle...
Read moreThis was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. To start, the chicken was served cold and tasted awful—clearly not fresh or properly prepared, we could not eat.
The service, however, was even worse. Our server, a male employee, was shockingly unprofessional. He took our order while chewing food, which made it nearly impossible to hear or understand him. As if that weren’t bad enough, he had a toothpick in his mouth later on when asked us if we need something else, which was beyond unsanitary and extremely off-putting.
After our food was finally brought out, we realized he had completely forgotten our water. It took almost 20 minutes of eating before we asked about it, only for him to apologize that he forgot. The lack of attentiveness and basic professionalism was unacceptable.
It’s clear that this server is not suited for the job, and the management seems either unaware or unconcerned about providing even basic customer service. We won’t be coming back and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone expecting decent service or quality food.
Overall, this was an awful experience. Poor food, terrible customer service, and an obvious lack of management oversight. This restaurant is not...
Read moreHonestly, I think the owner should know. There were 4 waiters at the time I came. The glasses brought out were all dirty, my sis and I had to clean them after asking other glasses with the same issue. Sitting there, waiting to order for 15min, 4boys were still sitting on their table and didnt pay attention to the customers at all, no bell to ring either, they sat together and were on the phone, head down. Until the lady in the kitchen looked at my table and I waved the hand to get the attention from her. I came with my mom and my sis, 3 ppl, we ordered 2 regular com ga and 1 com ga & goi bap chuoi, the waiter didnt confirm the order. Later, we got 2 dishes and I thought they still prepared the last dishes for my sis. No. We assumed they missed because there was not a lot of customers there, plus the waiters kept playing on the phone. My sis came to the counter to check and we were correct, they missed an order of my sis. The chicken was cold like you just took it out from the fridge with little heating up by microwave. You can see the picture, I didnt even touch the chicken which was cold. Seriously, the issues are repeating multiple times as below...
