This place is honestly not bad. The prices are good. the food is alright, kinda expensive. But I do have a little bit of a horror story from this place. Me and my bf walked there on a late night date and we had a drawstring bag with us. Now the bag didnt have anything it shouldn't in it but the man at the counter told us we were not allowed to bring it in. We didn't have a car to put it in either. As frustrating as that was. I but my bag somewhere safe outside of the theatre in part of the mall area where we expected to pick it up afterwards. We went and watched the movie, no problems at all. But then after the movie, things went bad. We couldn't get to our bag because the door to the outside of the theatre was locked with a deadbolt from the outside. We tried getting the employees to help us, and they left... It was the last movie of the night and their shifts were done. Essentially we were alone in the theatre with no one to help. We tried yelling for a security guard that was there earlier only to find out later he had gone home. Now my bag had my anxiety medicine and I was panicking. The only thing that could help me was in that bag. We ended up having to call the police to help us get in contact with the theatre/mall owner. Thank God for the maintenance man who showed up and...
Read moreI can't give this a higher rating because I don't know that this should be called a "mall" of any kind. Part of Sante Fe's charm is also it's hinderance imo...it's nice to see brown people owning & running an establishment of this level, in this area, where there are commercial establishments all around. The $3.50 movie theatre is also the only one I know of in gwinnett county, but when you step in, it's like you've entered a Latin country which should be interesting & full of culture, but instead the racial divide stands out all too noticeably. The staff located in the theatre consistently provides great service, inspite of the off-brand feel, but the staff in the surrounding shops, make little to no effort to drawn in, or even pleasantly acknowledge...
Read moreI know it seems odd to give 5 stars to a mall I haven't visited yet, but I have to say that some one went out if their way to keep this from being a dead mall and reinvented it to the large Hispanic community. There are Asian malls that cater to their culture and some of the other malls that cater to others. As for the theatre workers checking bags, I'm sure they're not just checking for weapons, but food brought in from outside. I used to work at a theatre and concessions pay for most of their being there, especially when the tickets are discounted. Tickets go up when rent goes up so often.I live out here in Cobb Co.abd wonder if any if the Gwinnette Co.buses go there. If so, I'll visit one...
