Wich Tea | Vietnamese Food & Coffee — Restaurant in Duluth

I had the absolute HONOR of visiting this establishment after searching high and low for a quality Vietnamese spot I could become a patron of, and it’s almost as if Wich Tea descended upon me as the greatest GIFT! Eating the food here was like getting to visit HEAVEN and that is absolutely not an exaggeration!! First off, the mere ease of being able to order online through their service platform was a DREAM! Seamless, effortless, and so very convenient, I actually look forward to engaging in the process again because it was just that good. Pickup was a complete breeze and the workers were friendly and extremely efficient, so I was in and out quickly. I ordered a Banana coffee; it is worthy of mentioning I am NOT an avid coffee drinker and don’t much care for the bitterness, so I was trying to be adventurous because the descriptions of their coffees were so enticing and the pictures were so stunning, I figured it’d be worth a shot. How about, this was the BEST coffee I have ever had in my entire life, hands down, without a doubt! I ordered mine with Boba and 75% sugar to be safe, but my goodness, the DEPTH of flavor and richness in the marrying of unlikely banana and bitter coffee beans, worked PERFECTLY, so 12/10! Then, I ordered the firecracker shrimp, which were so delicious I finished them all in one sitting, so they are not pictured above, but 9/10. Finally for the finale, I ordered the Steak Bulgogi Sandwich with no customizations, so I could get the authentic, intended taste, how about this was the GREATEST SANDWICH I HAVE EVER EATEN IN MY WHOLE LIFE!!!!! I have had PLENTY of great Pub Subs, but THIS one from Wich Tea was simply divine!!! The perfect crunch, the burst of flavor, the impeccable cook on the bulgogi steak, the fresh bread, the exceptional combination of toppings, I give this sandwich a whopping 20/10! As a restaurant, I give Wich Tea, a perfect score of a 100, and it is SO well deserved and well earned!

Dropped in around the evening and we were welcomed right away. Service was fast and the staff members we encountered were all friendly. Wished I lived near here to grab food more often because the prices are incredibly worth the value of the sandwiches you're getting. The bánh mì alone (the traditional, meatball, grilled pork, steak bulgogi, etc.) are all priced at $5.50 each. You can get an add-on of extra meat for $1.50 too. During my visit, I opted in for the combo which comes with bubble tea alongside my sandwich. The combos were approximately ~$8. Regardless, it is still notably cheaper in comparison to quoted prices of bánh mì in other cities. As for the bubble teas, they were pretty good and the cup + seal designs were cute. The same can be said for the fresh sugar cane juice we tried as well. Overall, we had a lovely experience and should we find ourselves in the area again, a return visit is definitely on the agenda.

The banh mi scene has been so competitive with new places opening left and right. We visited Wich Tea with zero expectations, and left knowing we'll be coming back! Wich Tea had a fusion banh mi menu and a great selection of drinks. We were pretty excited that they had snacks/sides as well!

We got the plant-based and Vietnamese meatball sandwiches. For the plant-based banh mi, they had a creative approach using eggplant (which worked well with the crispy tofu). For the Vietnamese meatballs, they were savory and sweet (the mushrooms added a nice texture). The baguette was light and crispy. The vegetable-protein ratio was well-balanced.

We also got a side of fries. The "hot" level definitely had a kick.

Do not sleep on the coffee selection-- it was so good! We tried the banana coffee and coconut coffee (both excellent).
