I just want to take a moment to give some well-deserved appreciation to Angie, who works and manages at our local Dollar Tree. I’ve seen quite a few posts complaining about retail workers lately, but people really need to understand that behind the counter are real human beings doing the absolute best they can with what they’ve got and Angie is the perfect example of that. Every single time I visit the store, Angie is always on her feet, cleaning, helping customers, guiding her team, answering questions, and handling the register all at once and she does it with genuine care. I’ve watched her jump in to help her employees whenever they call her name. She’s the one people rely on to keep things running smoothly. That’s what a true manager does, whether it says “cashier” or “manager” on a receipt the leadership is clear in her actions. I remember once I came in on a Monday around noon and checked out with Angie. Later that same evening, around 9 PM, I ran back in because I’d forgotten to grab sauce for dinner and there was Angie, still at the register with the same calm, hardworking energy, still greeting customers kindly, not even realizing she’d already been working for hours. It really stuck with me because not everyone has that kind of dedication. People can be quick to judge when they feel slighted, but sometimes they forget that respect goes both ways. I’ve seen Angie handle rude and loud customers with a strong backbone and honestly, sometimes that’s exactly what’s needed when people cross the line. She’s not there to be mistreated; she’s there to help keep that store running for everyone else. If you ask me, the real shame is that people like Angie don’t get recognized enough for all the little things they do behind the scenes the extra hours, the constant patience, the quick thinking, the problem-solving. Dollar Tree is lucky to have her. Whoever the store manager is, I truly hope they see what an asset she is because I am a regular customer who sees it all. She absolutely deserves a raise and more recognition for how much she does day in and day out. Thank you, Angie, for always being so sweet to me but as-well being fair, and hardworking. It doesn’t go unnoticed by the people who really pay attention. Keep doing what you do best, you make that store a better place to shop and people like you remind us to treat retail workers with the respect...
Read moreWe visited this place with my 2 girls and my parents because girls wanted to just go explore what's new this time in dollar store. So I took over $50 stuffs and this cashier named Angie may be had a bad day or something I just happened to check receipt before we step out as I do not like going through returns I found these 3 washable markers sets for $3 each So I asked her isn't this for $1.25 and she starts yelling saying I that "I know where I kept it its in $3 section. I could be wrong may be I didn't see it but the way she was speaking was so bad and rude i asked her is that how you talk to customers so I told her I work for customer service too and I am sorry this isn't the way any body talks to any other human being. In return she starts raising her voice even louder and saying I am the manager up here and I know where I keep my stuffs. So I was like may be she is mad over something and she even started with my return and again hands over the return bag to me and then says where are you taking my stuffs keep it here . For me it was easy to just return everything but just keeping my kids first I thought not to create any more scene and went to see if I didn't see the $3 sign she said did you take a picture of it. While I walked out she started saying to my daughters what a shame so I just went back to the door to tell her back may be she was a shame because she was telling it to little girls which can create such a harsh impact on their little minds. I wish these new kids who joins new jobs are taught even little etiquette of customer service before starting a job. I have never seen a dollar tree that empty and now it proves why Ms Angie Thanx to So called manager Ms Angie who was manager according to her may be just for one day today as her receipt said...
Read moreY'all... This used to be my go to Dollar Tree when I'd pass through Duluth. Not anymore. Cleanliness is not their strong suit anymore. Outside trash is Everywhere! Inside hasnt seen a vacuum cleaner. What happened? It's only been a couple years since my last visit.
Customer service is also subpar. The manager basically threatened not to service me with my return as if I were an ignorant child. "Fadi" let me know he'd been manager here 10 years and that the return process had not changed and had been that way always. That I was wrong. Period.
What is the dollar store return policy?
Return Policy.
What is Dollar Tree's merchandise return policy?
So that we may continue to provide you extreme value when shopping at one of our retail stores, we reserve the right to limit quantities, do not offer refunds, and consider all sales final. We will gladly exchange any unopened item with the original receipt. It says nothing about having only one opportunity to return items and our receipt was not viewed.l by Fadi.
Additionally, Fadi was rude, not just to me but to another customer of color when the customer tried to talk about some item and Fadi rudely dismissed comments and derided him AND made comments in a middle Eastern language as well. He didn't dare translate because I was heated and commented that this veteran was not going to be mistreated by him.
Do not pateonize this location unless you're a glutton for punishment and dont mind...
