The one star I am giving is generous. I went by myself to return the unopened Cronus Zen that my husband purchased only 8 days ago. I had my receipt and the unopened box. The associate working tonight told me that he would not be able to refund the money because GameStop has a 7 day return policy but that he could give me a store credit. When I tried to tell him the return policy printed at the bottom of the receipt states unopened software and hardware are returnable within 30 days of purchase and that I was well in the return window and the box was unopened the associate began to point to the return policy that was posted on the counter. After reading that return policy posted on the counter I was still within the 15 day return window and my husband is a Pro member which allows a 30 day return window of new unopened software and hardware. The associate even acknowledged my husband was a pro member but he was told by his supervisor that any returns after 7 days must get a store credit. I left and my husband came back with me and while driving back to GameStop we called customer service to confirm the return policy and confirm that we could get our money back. We did eventually get our money back after going back and forth with the associate. GameStop needs to retrain their employees on the return policies because clearly that employee had no idea what he was doing and just made up his own...

I went there to reserve Link's Awakening on the Switch. Out of all the things that the dude tried to upsell me on (buying "protection" for the game, reserving additional games, signing back up for GameStop Pro, trading in games for an additional 20% toward the reserved game), he somehow failed to mention that there was a "Dreamer's Edition" of Link's Awakening that I could have gotten instead. The limited collector's edition that includes a cool art book.
He bombarded me with a laundry list of things I didn't need, but ironically didn't mention the one thing I would have sprung for. And it left me disappointed, when I left the store with no extras, after learning that Target was giving out special edition pins with the game, and Walmart had the game for $10 cheaper. Made me wonder why the heck I reserved the game here in the...
Read moreI come from a world where customer service is very important. To achieve a goal, and to make sure the customer keeps coming back.
When you walk into an establishment you should be greeted on entry. Even if your dealing with a customer. You acknowledge that person with. "Hello, welcome to my establishment. I will be with you shortly". That will give the customer a sign of appreciation we love our jobs, and your business. That's what brings in the bucks... Customer Service.
Manager Bill did not show good customer service. This reflects his employees. Making them lack in this area. I can go on with witnessing with my own eyes not delivering good service to a family of a different race. Watch Bill delightful cater to the same race as he is. This rubs me wrong. I don't like to be touch inappropriately. From this I would not recommend this store. Thanks.
