TLDR: Decent Chinese buffet. Very clean and well laid out Has all of your standard Chinese/American fare. Sushi was severely lacking selection but hibachi was above average. Vibe: 5/5. Now located in a strip mall on Merritt Blvd, Best Buffet has a new look compared to their old location off North Point. The restaurant is brand new, with the entire facility sporting modern amenities and clean from head to toe. Both booth seating as well as table seating is available for larger groups. The buffet area is laid out very thoughtfully. There are 8 buffet stations as well as the sushi and teppanyaki counters. Bonus points for them having a whole condiment bar for all your sauce needs as well as soy sauce at every table. Staff: 5/5. The entire staff that we encountered at Best were great from start to finish. Upon arrival, you are greeted at the front counter and you must pay first before being seated. Our waitress was very nice and attentive to our table for drinks and removing dirty plates. While, we were dining, we watched the staff celebrate another customer's child's birthday with their own personal cake with candles and sang. Definitely a nice touch, especially for a buffet Food: 3/5. Unfortunately this was the biggest miss for Best Buffet. While the hot food selection was decent, including all your usual suspects such as General Tso, beef and broccoli, dumplings, soups and American food, I felt there were significant missed opportunities in the sushi department. During my Wednesday night dinner service, the sushi bar was never fully stocked and mostly consisted of various renditions of California Rolls. There was only 1 time where I had any maguro or raw salmon sushi/maki. They had a staff member manning the sushi bar all night, but constantly turned out cooked rolls vs actual sushi. On a positive note, the teppanyaki was very good. The chef did a great job cooking the proteins and eggs as well as seasoning everything nicely. He separated out the steak from shrimp knowing they cook at different speeds as well as used both Sriracha and soy sauce to flavor. Dessert was OK as well, with your standard selection of cakes and ice cream. Overall, for $20 at dinner and $15 at lunch which includes a drink, Best Buffet offers a decent selection for a fair price.

I’ve always seen Best Buffet off North Point since we moved to the area but was also skeptical. They recently relocated off Merritt within a shopping center and we decided to check them out. First off, I know it’s newer but it was very clean which I can personally appreciate!! Second, the staff are friendly and I love that the decor inside is all a piece of the owners daughters work! Here was the best part, it was one of the customers kids bday and the staff came with a piece of cake and sang happy birthday to him! I don’t know many other buffets that do that. In terms of the food, nice wide selection ranging from sushi, soups, Chinese, American and teppanyaki. At the Teppanyaki station, the cook, cooked each item individually which was nice bc everything cooks at different pace. He then folded the egg & all the other ingredients in together. The sushi was a little lacking. Given there was only one person but most of the options has crab meat and cream cheese. I do wish more raw options were made available. The other fried foods could use a few more seconds in the fryer as it seemed a little underdone. The Rangoon in particular could use a bit more cream cheese and maybe fried more in a triangular shape than a pocket pinch shape as that left the top super crunchy to the point it also cut the roof of my mouth biting in. Lastly, the cost… for two adults drinks included !!! Came to $42 before tip. Not bad!

BEST BUFFET is THE BEST BUFFET. The owner chose the most appropriate name for this establishment. I've been to similar buffets that feature identical layouts. The difference here is the service, cleanliness and the quality of food!! You've tried the rest now come to the best!! EVERYTHING I tried here was FRESH and hot. I'm not exaggerating... EVERYTHING. Make sure to try the honey chicken!! They even have a sauce bar that's labeled and ready to go. I was especially shocked at how fresh the sushi was!! The service was top notch as the servers were fast and efficient...I really loved how engaged the manager/owner was... You can tell she really cares about the customer experience!! The hibachi food was and always will be the main event so I wanted to save the best for last! Again I have to compare to other places...Best buffet has similar options but once again their meat selections are better because they're cut thicker and much neater!! The chef definitely didn't rush so the meat and noodles weren't overcooked!!I definitely recommend to try this spot!! I'll be back!! Bonus points for shin Chan!!

I'm not sure how this place has so many good reviews but this place is horrible. Me and my mom came here because i saw the good reviews and being it was a new place and kept seeing ads on tik-tok I thought to give it a try. Upon entering the place , it looked so beautiful and clean , the impression you get when you walk in makes you feel very confident that you're going to have a good meal, WRONG ! This was the worst buffet I've ever been to in my entire life, no exaggeration. Its like they took the lowest quality food to cook with and use seafood that no one average would eat or buy. They have no kind of variety of food ! All they had was rice, lo mien, fried fish , chicken wings that tasted terribly old and reused , chicken and broccoli and some other kind of friend meat and that was it , everything else is horrible tasting muscles, tiny crabs , small crab legs that you'll probably get a toothpick amount of meat out of and nasty seafood that literally no one can eat , they had a ramen bar with bland broths and an ice-cream freezer with the cheapest ice-cream you can get at the store, along with over sweetened juice and mediocre sushi. Please save your money and go elsewhere, waitresses and staff all have bad attitudes as well which is crazy when you're already sending nearly $100 on crappy food.I'm going to attach my receipt below so they cant accuse me of being a fake review , I really wish I could get my money back more than anything ! Ruined my appetite and wasted my time and money. Please close down and re-evaluate your food and quality of food as well , learn how to teach staff to have manners and be polite to paying customers ! Absolutely...
