Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Maryland

If I could put zero stars I would. VERY DISAPPOINTED. VERY DISRESPECTFUL STAFF. Today we ordered 4 large pizzas for delivery. My fiancé ordered it. He had to call them back because they did not take his card info. Someone answered the phone he payed for the order. The pizza guy came to deliver it and said that he didn’t pay for his order he needed to pay. My fiancé said no I talked to someone already and they took my card info I already paid for it over the phone. So after the guy got back to the store he calls and says you need to pay for your order. My fiancé checks his bank statement and papa johns took out money already. He has the proof in had. The dude on the phone proceeds to tell him he did not pay, raising his voice. Telling my fiancé he just tried to get free pizza. Clearly not the case. He asked for a manager some lady got on the phone and said is this Howard? My fiancé says No this is Alex I don’t know a Howard. she also proceeded to rudely tell my fiancé he needs to pay for his pizza. My fiancé says multiple times he paid for it already he had the proof if they want to see it. They then told him he is never allowed to order from that store again.... Reality of it is they messed up I guess charged him for someone else’s order apparently someone named Howard. They put Howard on our order and we got the right order but did not charge us the amount that it was supposed to me. The store is at fault here and is trying to blame the customer because they don’t want to admit they are wrong. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Don’t worry we won’t be ordering there again, even if they didn’t put us on the “black list” because of there wrong doing... The pizza also wasn’t the greatest. No...

I don’t eat out often, but when I do crave pizza, Papa John’s is usually my go-to. Unfortunately, today’s experience was extremely disappointing.

To start, my pizza was cold—even though I live just three minutes away from the location. I paid extra for a half sausage pizza (around $2 more), and while that may not seem like much to some, every dollar counts when you work hard for your money. The sausage was very sparse—barely one or two pieces per slice—which made it feel like I was being shorted, despite paying extra. The cheese looked discolored, as if the pizza had been sitting out for a while, and overall it just didn’t taste fresh.

I also ordered wings, which I’ve always enjoyed from Papa John’s in the past. I called ahead to ask if I could get a mix of flats and drums and was told it automatically comes with three of each in a six-piece order. However, I received six drums. While I’m not entirely upset about that, I’m confused as to why I was given incorrect information by the staff.

The wings themselves were also very disappointing—nothing like the quality I’ve received before. They tasted off and just weren’t enjoyable.

What makes this worse is that this meal was part of our planned cheat day, something we look forward to every two weeks. We set money aside specifically for it, and this time we chose Papa John’s, expecting a treat. Instead, we received food that was barely edible and honestly felt like a waste of money.

At this point, I’m seriously considering boxing up what’s left and taking it back to the store because it’s just not worth it. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, because today’s experience was far from the standard I’ve...

I ordered a pizza and cinnamon pull aparts from Papajohns in Dundalk, MD 12/2/2024. My food was out for delivery @ 5:55 PM. I only live about a half mile away from this location so it’s only a 3 minute drive and with the traffic and lights 10 minute drive at the most. I still did not receive my food at 6:20 pm so I called the store to see where the driver was. When talking to the manager he said my food should be delivered any minute because the driver was out on the road. I told him that my food better not be cold when it arrives. He did not seem too concerned even after I told him that. He said your food will be there any minute. The driver finally delivered my food at 6:25 PM and upon opening the box my pizza was lukewarm warm at best so I had to hit it back up in the microwave a few slices at a time . The pizza was still ok after doing that but taking 30 minutes to deliver food a half mile away is unacceptable. Upon this experience I will never order from this location ever again and I will be looking up the number of the corporate office in the morning and calling them to file a complaint about that location.
