I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience at hot masala today. We purchased double ka meetha in December 2024, only to find out it had expired in January 2023—almost 2 years! While I admit it was my mistake not to check the expiration date before purchasing and only noticed it after bringing it home, it’s frustrating that customers even need to double-check something as basic as product safety. This isn’t the first time this has happened either; a few months ago, I bought ice cream that was expired by six months. When I went to complain about it, the store didn’t offer a refund but only allowed me to exchange it for another product. This repeated carelessness and lack of accountability are unacceptable, and it’s clear there’s no proper oversight in checking expiration dates. Very nice people who own the business. Always willing to help me find what I'm looking for or suggest a suitable substitute. Great variety of spice and spice blends. Only eaten here twice but it was really nice. Does take about 15-20 minutes but fresh food always does. I enjoyed browsing while I waited even tho the store is small there is a lot here. Rip off store. Bought two fidget spinners for my kids. They only worked for one day and second day would only spin 3 or 4 seconds. Cheap quality, each was sold for $12.99 went to the store for refund, store owner refused and and was rude after argument offered exchange. I told him I do not want exchange as the cheap quality and bad spinners. Kids were very upset. Wasted by $25.98 +tax. Never going back to this store again.
