I had 2 interior french doors installed in my home office. I will say I am happy with the final product of the doors (5 stars), but I had a poor experience with the service along the entire process (1-2 stars). I thought this seemed like a one stop shop that would be easier/quicker than buying doors/pieces separately and finding someone else to install, but looking back I wish I had done that. Probably would have saved $ too.
If you don't have the time to read the below: the end result is good but the process to get here was a stressful mess.
Issues I had: -After we already paid for the doors, they told us they need to do more work to make the doors fit, which would cost $150 a piece (so $300 total). We had never heard that this was even a possibility. We had to push back hard and had an unpleasant convo with one of the sales people. Ask about additional costs up front. Delivery was very unorganized. I had to reach out to ask when it was being delivered (they never reached out) and they said "probably tomorrow or the next day". We weren't going to be around either of those days and they said no worries, they will drop them off out front (makes no sense if you know how big the delivery items were...). What ended up happening? A driver called our house at 9:45pm Saturday night right before we were going up to bed and said he was outside and we need to open our garage so he could drop off the doors. No notification or heads up prior to that so was impossible to plan. They told us they could install in about 5-7 days after we ordered the doors, which included delivery time. When the time came to schedule, they said they only could do a Sunday, or 15 days out on a Friday. When we complained they tried to say that they are being nice and going out of their way to install on a Sunday. Crazy to think that was doing us a favor when we would have to deal with installers doing work from 10am-8pm on a Sunday--definitely not ideal for anybody Smallest inconvenience but one of the more crazy parts of this entire thing: we randomly received an amazon package with a nondescript part of something in it. We didn't order this and I was about to throw it away. Right before I threw away, I googled the barcode tag, it came up as United Porte. They just rogue sent us an amazon package that we needed for installation without any notice. -Installation went pretty smooth. It did in fact take 12 hours. Only negative here is they left all the trash in our garage which is way to big to put out on...
Read moreHi,
I'm writing to share my positive experience with the European-style front door with an electronic keypad lock that I recently had installed. I was particularly impressed with the way the door complemented the other renovations I had done, such as the new stairs and elevation brick alterations.
The door is not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional. The electronic keypad lock provides a convenient and secure way to enter and exit my home, and the door itself is well-made and durable.
I'm very happy with my new front door and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish and secure...
Read moreHad my exterior door installed and was happy about it. Received compliments from friends and neighbors until the lock become faulty and I requested it to be fix. United Porte do not have their own installers. They hire contractors to install them. So the person that is to install the lock from Monday to Sunday, can only come after 6pm. United Porte, you have business hours therefore your hours to fix should be business hours too and not when it is convenient for them to come because they have other jobs. The lock is still warranty and not sure how to get it...
